Into the second season in my rewatch of Breaking Bad ... it's still really very good, the script, acting, direction, camerawork and use of sound/music is all top class, but the ridiculousness of it is much clearer now, some of the events and twists and turns really stretch your suspension of disbelief, but then it's not a show like The Wire where it's trying to have total veracity and accuracy, there is that deliberate element of preposterousness and hi-jinx
1st couple of series were great, loved it. Then it went **** like many other shows where they dragged it out for too long and changed the channels... similar to lost.
Season 1 of the Original Heroes is brilliant but that's it, it goes downhill rapidly and becomes unwatchable. The recent reboot has had poor reviews. Season 1 can be watched as a one off though it has an ending If highly recommend watching it.
This. Luv is correct. First season of Heroes was great, everything else Heroes related is ****e (Except Hayden Panatierre's derriere, which is exquisite)
Into Season 3 in my Breaking Bad rewatch, the one where Walt throws the pizza on the roof and moves back in It's interesting looking again at how certain colours are used in the show to represent themes and ideas, Vince Gilligan has talked about it pretty lengthily
Finally watched flash... Much improved episode the shark one... it's a bit of Manning up and resolving character confidence with the reveal at end. Even though show is well shown. Spoiler: Spoiled I thought the guy in the masking tapping out the name last time was the real flash 2 so now I dunno who the feck he is but given zoom is the flash 2 that makes much more sense so the reveal means the false flash that came over has to be explained somehow... clone? Overall much improved as Barry had to actually act a bit and then actually went and beat a bad guy properly so sets up rest of series as it was all wishy washy I can't bull that was running down the toilet
Did we mention latest legends of tomorrow? Spoiler: Spoiler average episode, filler basically. Main thrust is setting Mick up v snarc later sometime. Snarc is actually the main man in this series as he's doing voice over stuff. The arrow connection was mildly good buy with time travel it's no big deal and rewritten next time. I am expecting them to go far back in time next. The bouncing round really gives them great scenes for stories. The love triangle filler was however rather pointless.
Just watched Criminal Activities on Netflix, very good and recommended. A bit like Layer Cake in that there are a few twists and sub plots. 8 out of 10
