Newcastle luck hasn't improved, their original aircraft for the return flight went tech, G-EMBI and the replacement G-RJXC finally left Southampton Airport for Newcastle at 22:10!
Poor bleeders. Do you think I shouldn't send them the Footballorgin full match replay link, seeing as they missed MOTD?
Our defending for their goal gets worse each time you see it, especially in slow-mo replays! Catching West Ham though
Football is ONLY a game. Whilst that might be true when you put it in perspective with other events happening in the world, I would otherwise beg to differ. For a game to bring together people from all ages, from all walks of life, from all different parts of the country for a common goal is something special. Sharing the lows, enjoying the highs and all the bits in between. Great to have met some of you yesterday, however brief (sorry, delays on m3) and hope we can do it again soon. As for the cost of football, tickets, travel etc, you can't put a price on that. As for the game, whilst we have played better, you can not be disappointed with a 3-1 win. It's a great time to be supporting the saints. And finally Chilco, what are the chances we were in the same row, about 5 seats apart. If I had not met you before the game I would never have known. Looking good for the rest of the season. COYR
Oddly enough when that group pic was taken I was probably outside in my lift car, we were waiting for the barriers at the Crossing to raise, about fifteen minutes later we were still there, I could have had time to nip in, have a quick half and meet the crew! I will make it one day.
You too FLT, Enjoy reading your posts, always have something interesting to say and great to meet you in person. There is a really good mix on this forum, a nice little football family.
Didn't see MOTD, but thought the keeper got there first. Was concerned about the battering Graziano took on his knee, especially in the second half. At one point I thought Ron might take him off as he was limping, but he got over pretty well. I still contend Tadic was poor, there was a point when Long came right back to tackle a midfielder in front of Ryan. I looked up and Tadic was just jogging over the halfway line - simply not good enough. We looked so much better when Jay came on, though the emotion was high and the support better!
Always good to meet the Not606 crowd and it just keeps getting better and better! Interesting point yesterday - Onionman junior has NEVER seen Saints finish lower than the previous season What a record! Long may it last!
Tough game for you, Tom. No one is criticising the ref much. BTW I think Long was lucky not to be seriously injured landing on his head like that.
