He had a lot more options to be fair. It was a very offensive 4-4-2 formation with Pelle and Long up front with Tadić and Mane on the wings. It seemed as there was always someone open for a pass somewhere. We rarely go forward in such numbers. Though I really doubt it would work against a team stronger than Newcastle.
Pelle and Mane did very well today. Good to have Long back up front - a well taken goal. Could and should have been a lot more, but good win nonetheless. Think Newcastle may be doomed.
I agree and their defenders certainly helped. However as one who often criticises Pelle, I feel it right to point out when I think he has had a good game.
Yep I agree. Pelle was what we expect - good in the air and took his goal well. Just shame he wasn't the first and the last goalscorer, but that is for personal and financial reasons
It has to be said, and this isn't because Tom bought me a pint ('cos he didn't ), but I thought Bobby Madley had an excellent game today. Can't think of a single mistake, and how often have we been able to say that this season? Best moment for me out of many great ones was Jay coming on. I thought he was going to score with his second touch!
