Suarez and Aguero are similar strikers in their overall style. Comparing Carroll and Aguero is like comparing Wayne Rooney to Thierry Henry(In his prime)..Again different types of players thus no comparison can be made.
KingPepeReina. if i was talking about overall style i would have said that, im not read the article im talking about fees and what they can offer the side, both players whatever way u look at it are forwards had one been a defender then maybe.
Arabian Expat. Aguero doesn't offer a side what Andy Carroll does,He offers a side what Luis Suarez does. Liverpool looked at all the players of Andy Carrolls type and age and found...1, Fernando Llorente and his club wouldn't sell him. There is many players of Andy Carrolls type...but very few his age.
KingPepeReina, The relevance is dictated by the article, if you cannot understand that then i feel for you, as stated in the article both players went for pretty much the same fee, out of the two who would you prefer, its a pretty simple concept.
For the last time, they have different styles they are different types of players so no comparison can be made..again its like comparing Wayne Rooney to Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry. No comaprison can be made. The only comparison that can be made is between Suarez and Aguero as they are similar type players.
Where is a mod when we need them to close this article. Its yet another Andy Carroll is a waste of money article.
KingPepeReina im not talking about style tho what the hell is wrong with you lol, im talking abouty fees, you paid x for a player when you could have paid the same for another player, i am merely asking who you would have prefered, im not talking about a like for like analysis here jesus, im talking about a transfer fee which you paid, for carroll and wondering would you have prefered aguero if given the choice, nexct you will be saying well aguero doesnt have a pony tail so its irelevant.
KingPepeReina its not at all read my comments im not saying he wont be a succes or he was a watse im just saying give the otion of both p[layers who would you prefer, most people can grasp that simple objective and have gone with carroll i have no beef with that.
KPR I don't think there's any need to close the thread- we don't have to respond to or even read it. It's a wind-up, and we shouldn't take it too seriously. Closing it would only seem petty and make it seem like it struck a nerve.
Why is it about fees. I've already pointed out Liverpool already have a player similar to Aguero in Luis Suarez. Why can't you get that.?Andy Carroll offers something different. He doesn't offer what Aguero does,Suarez does. My answer is I prefer Suarez to Aguero.
KPR, its not against the law to have two players of similar ability, its alomst a must in the modern game with squad depth etc.
KingPepeReina and its about fees because i say it is, seeing as i made the article, like a person above says dont respond if you dont agree with it simple really, its not a windup just a question which some people either cannot understand or are so paranoid they think its a veiled attack, funny thing is this article has way more comments than the previous one i did this morning about the break away leagues, i thik people like wind ups hence all the comments, yet this isnt one.
It also means that one player has to sit on the bench. You don't play two strikers of the same type at once, you vary. Do similar type centre halves play together. Do similar type central midfielders play together. City are going to lose Tevez and thats why they signed Aguero and thats the only reason.
not really both could play on the sides of a front 3 and inter change they are both good enough, oh but wait stewart downing is better than them all sorry scrub that.
KingPepeReina and why couldnt they? please explain? aguero is a left footr who generall play on the right of the forward line so he can cut inside and shoot.
Aguero is right footed, maybe he isn't on soccer manager or whatever, but he is right footed. Everyone knows that.
