Hello, all. Am an American fan of Sunderland AFC for some years now, thanks to an English friend/colleague of mine whose family has supported Sunderland for several generations. The enthusiasm rubbed off on me, for which I am grateful. Best wishes to all, and I look forward to keeping up with the news and postings on "not 606".

Wow! Just took a look back through this thread and we've got lots of new housemates today from far and wide. Welcome fellow Mackems!

Used to cruise the 606 forum. Great to see you have found a new home. Have lived in Bristol the last 25 years but come from Seaham originally. Best Sunderland moment (apart from 73 FA Cup and St Niall's takeover of SAFC) was watching the dirty mags cry when they went down . Anyway great to see the lads doing well - hopefully the new signings will come through - as usual they are keeping us on the rack!

Like many others I was a regular reader of 606, but I never bothered to make a username.
I didn't like the format of the BBC boards.
I was born and bred on Wearside, but I have lived in Japan for the pas 14 years.
Still flying the red and white flag over here.

Hello mackemman, we dont like this mucky talk but you are however allowed to tell the truth, if you know what I mean.
Already been posting and commenting on this site thought I'd better formally introduce myself on the welcome thread! Used to be captainkirkyboy on 606 but now just good old kirkyboy! Hope to get to know you all a lot better over the coming weeks, months........years!!

I was an occasional poster on 606 and have put two user names due to having been banned there once after run-ins with Mags and WUMs!
Good grief, I can say that and get away with it here!
For those of us who live out of the country these boards are brilliant for keeping up with news, as well as a souce of excellent banter.
Syd was the obvious choice for moderator - thanks and keep up the good work mate!
