That was a much better display from us I thought. It would have been a bit unjust if we had gone in a goal down. According to Jon Marks the ref is just a part of the pitch, so the shoulder charge on Watson is just one of those things.
Not today - internet is patchy for some reason & I'm half watching on the laptop/half listening to Jon Marks. I should never have extolled its virtues - a sure kiss of death.
I've ordered another one too - apart from this afternoon I've had no problems. Watching on the laptop & being a full two minutes behind Jon Marks is an odd experience.... Saints 3-0 up against Newcastle - we're inching nearer to safety...
Capoue plays in middle and plays really well...shock, horror. Better. Yes Gomez kept us in it, but we had our chances too. Two stunning saves from their keeper. Holebas was excellent and Jurado did well in patches. I thought the game was made for Amrabat, but he struggled. And the less said about Suarez' 10 minute cameo the better. Better, much better.
Those who watched the stream, can you give me guidance, please? It's not the sort of thing that would make the cut of MOTD tonight, but there were a number of calls made by our little Kev (the ref), where he said that there was no foul, that looked pretty bloody blatant. Was ity golden-coloured specs or was I right? Ta.
Thanks, Mark. There was one where someone did on Deeney when they seemed to go right through his top half. Deeney hadn't backed at all, but was totalled. Friend quickly and dramatically waved his arms to show nothing doing. It seemed like another 'Star of the Show' performance from little Kev.
First half I said to Mme that this ref is rubbish. Second half he seemed a little better, but I had a nasty feeling that every time Everton got near our goal he was going to make a bad decision in their favour. Others at the game thought he had a blue shirt on.
Thanks, ofh. I thought his allegiance was clear, but on reflection you question whether you're getting caught up in the hysteria, bias, you know!
Much much better performance today and a OK match ruined by another poor referring display. I wonder when we will get a ref that is more concerned about the match rather than his own "look at me, look at me performance.
