Bruce isn't bothered giving him a chance as he won't be here next season, probably the same reason he's given up on Hayden and Chuba. Wenger will probably think twice before loaning Bruce any players again that's for sure
Where will he be next season? I thought he had a 3-year contract, no-one's likely to buy him as no-one's been able to see him play this season, so I'd have guessed we'll be stuck with him a bit longer.
I have a sneaky feeling Hayden will play tomorrow in a midfield 3 with Jake and Tom. Hopefully either Dio or Akpom will be on the bench.
Just don't get this crap signing/mistake etc. Powell showed enough promise to suggest to me he may well have just hauled us over the line had he featured in enough games to gel properly with the rest of the team. So he gets injured, lots of players do. How the **** does this make signing him a mistake other than by way of **** luck?
It is unfortunate that he's got an injury and the ****ness of it stems more from **** luck than him being a **** player. It'd be amazing if we could get him on a permanent deal next season for free (think his contract is up in Summer), especially as a replacement for Diame who will blatently leave.
Aye, I think he'd be good on a free. We need to start coming to terms with the the fact Diame, Huddlestone, Livermore, Dawson, Elmo, Hernandez and Davies won't be here next season. Sadly.
I'll wait until I'm properly smashed later before sharing my view on all this. It's what Sydney would want from all of us.
Oh and dont forget he must be able to play in midfield because i like playing players out of position
Davies has just signed a new contract so I actually don't see him leaving. He and Harry should be the backbone of a new side if the worst comes to the worst and we lose who you've quoted. To be honest, out of your list Dawson would be the only real loss for me. Apparently Pullis is in for Livermore and Robbo. Maybe Lambert coming the other way..? .. I'd take that.
Robertson can do better than a Pulis side and he's also not 6'4" which is the minimum Pulis requirement.
His careeer at Man U has crashed because for too long he may as well have been made of cold brandy snap. He signs for us and shatters like cold brandy snap again. Is that bad luck, or is it a bad signing?
If they want to go in the summer, they'll go, regardless. This year looks like it could turn out be an expensive gamble that hasn't paid off, and we end up with a clear out with the Allams clawing back what they can from player sales, and 10k season ticket holders/ members. Apart from Harry, Robertson, Dave and Snodgrass, and perhaps Dawson, I can't say I'm that fussed about the rest of them anyway. What will be key will be who comes in to replace Bruce and whether he gets the odd million to spend on some more Clucas type signings.
Thought the consensus on here was that the problem at Utd was life-style not physical. We may never know the truth but he didn't look physically weak from what I saw of him - ****ing hell if that's the case Hernandez should never set foot on the pitch. It might have been a gamble but for me - not everyone obviously - I saw enough talent, relative to what we currently have, that could have made a difference to how our season pans out.
