I attended a few of these meetings representing mainly me, but as a pass holder of 35 years I thought I might have a representative voice for other individuals as well as trying to understand some of the workings of the club. Overall, apart from getting a representative onto the SAG committee I don't think the meetings achieved anything and despite the best efforts of James Mooney I don't think they ever will.
The disabled supporter concession withdrawal was strongly debated and James Mooney promised to take the matter up with the relevant powers. He did - and nothing was done. The ASI fund was debated at three consecutive meetings and the attendees were asked how they would like the fund spent. Every time we gave the same answer and James Mooney promised to take the matter up with the relevant powers. He did - and our opinions were completely ignored. Both of these things could have made the FWG a reason for being, proof that the club listened to it's fans and did something for them. They would have cost the club almost nothing and at the same time gone a long way to show that the club actually cared.
I was invited to the most recent meeting but as I'm not attending home games this season I felt I should not have any input that could affect those who do. The fact that I would have been asked to sign a NDA would have also put me off, along with the suggestion that the matters to be discussed were not up for debate. We all know that PLT was deliberately not invited, I found out today that someone who had previously represented disabled fans was also not invited.
I don't have an issue with the people who attended the most recent meeting, I fully understand that when you are representing groups of supporters any dialogue with the club is important. My own personal view is that in its current form and with the current club hierarchy, the voice of the fans is so unimportant that the meetings are a waste of time.

I thought you were denied a allotment?
You'll have to speak to your Hull City fans rep on the allotment committee

I got kicked off the local allotment for calling a spade a spade. It was full of big sods anyway. I said to them, "You'll reap what you sow!"

I'm a bit behind. All you ****s have to worry about is mowing your lawn.

I can't remember where I planted the spuds last year so my crop rotation's well ****ing out there.

I might just sit in the shed and...

Is it "a" allotment or "an" allotment??

Now we're getting to the nitty gritty.

Glad Ehab attended today. May be he does listen and monitor fans views or someone has advised him that fans are saying he needs to be at games to know what is going on.
Now I am hoping he will have seen what Huddersfield are doing in terms of season card pricing and pull the plug on the tinkered with plans for membership scheme and west upper closure. City need more fans cheering them on at realistic prices in seats they are accustomed to, not high prices alongside enforced seat changes and no senior concessions.

He will have heard their stereo drumming and Mooney will be designated to get 2 drummers ASAP. They can then pound out that montonous DUH-DUH-DUH drumming while our 'flag waver' ballboys crank up the passion with their synchronised flag waving.
