sahko suits klopp as he plays "vertical" passes where other play square sahko plays 15/20 yard straight passes to players feet forward... not always easy to take in and not get pressed off of but they are far more positive than a square ball or a long punt.

We do not know if Matip is going to settle easily into the style of play in the premiership, as a result, we cannot RATE him yet.

No idea why Clyne and Moreno decided to continue attacking in the final half hour. We should have been protecting what we had so the defenders defend!

Same reason we don't want to dump both our senior GKs in the same window

I wouldn't call Bogdan a keeper. He is just a guy who sometimes plays in goal and isn't very good at it!

Lovren has improved enough to keep imo (and ive never liked him but he has done very well under klopp) So next year we should have sakho, lovren, Matip, gomez and perhaps another CB although id go with those 4 and if need be, buy a CB in Jan.

Sakho and Lovren have shown enough for me to see they are capable of building a good partnership if they have the right player in front of them, which neither Can nor Henderson are and lucas is likely off, We have the young Grujic and possibly Camacho coming in so im sure Klopp has seen this is an area we lack in and its exposed more with his style.

give klopp a chance to work his magic in 2nd leg :bandit:

seriously though, if we win thursday the atmos will be amazing and klopp could say you want more of this come sign for me.

yeah i know a bit far fetched, but be nice if we could get some quality for a change, been a while.

He is quality and he was good for majority of the match but he was at fault for the goal and the Origi chance.

Think Hummels showed what top class was the other night. Arguably the only world class player on the pitch.

Lovren is doing enough to be in the squad right now going forward. Certainly rather him than Skrtel.

Our shape is better with Klopp. If we develop a midfield in the summer he'll be even more comfortable when he comes in. When he's playing well he is a nice mix of physicality and ability.

Sakho I think will continue as first choice unless we make another signing back there (Sule for eg), which I would be in favour of.

Leaving us with Sakho, Matip, Sule, Lovren as our four. With Lovren and Sakho being quite injury prone I think it's justified - and Matip may go into midfield in big games.

Only problem with that is the fourth choice is usually an older head more ready to be a squad player.

We shouldn't be thinking about Gomez at CB for another 3 years or so.

We need to invest in gomez.

We need 4 club trained players.

    Minimum.

If you've the sterling's of this world coming in it very hard to keep 4.

That's why with respect every brannigan Rossiter and flanagan have to be minded. If they can fill a hole and earn their corn they can do a job.

We brought in milner for experience work rate and basically he's past it but if we had a home grown version... well they'd have value.

    We don't.

I'm a Gomez fan but he should be eased in at fullback/in a back three at the end of games. Maybe the odd game at CB if we ever have a settled and decent back four.

Coming into this side at CB would as easily ruin as make him. Potential wise he's very good. PL standard at least.

    behave ffs.

he scored a vital goal and yes he has probably NOW!!! returned the value on his transfer, but he is still a liability and only good as backup.

we dont need to keep bumping fecking threads every time a player some want rid has one fecking good game in how many!!!.

maybe we should start doing told you so every time a player is ****e in games <whistle> exactly.

    Great performance tho.
At 3-3 I stuck a fiver on liverpool to win, and Lovren won me £40. <ok>
Anyone can say what they want about Liverpool, but in Europe, you guys can pull off some great comebacks.
