Casper didnt want to leave us. It was our choice to sell him & apparently he is up his own arse. Great shot stopper & I was really excited when I heard we signed him. but by the end of the season he was a bit of a liabilty, overal rating 7/10 Saved us a few times, cost us a few times. Wish him all the best & he will look better if you have half a decent deffence in front of him but it wouldnt suprise me if you dropped him after 10-15 games.
I love how irritated these Leeds fans have got, it's brilliant. Regardless of whether you think Kasper is a good keeper or not, I guess we'll see soon but there's very little doubt that, on paper at least, our back four is as good as anybody's in this league. With Pantsil Mills Bamba/SSL/Tunchev Konchesky/Ball in front of her my gran could play in goal and look good!! Whether you like it or not we have signed some very good players for this level and Sven has us playing great football and took us from bottom to within a whisper of the play-offs last season but we were badly let down by our woeful defending, which he has sorted now. Pantsil, Konchesky, Ball, Mills, Danns and Nugent (and Johnson) are all quality players at this level, no they're not Ronaldo, Messi etc but this is the Championship not the Champions League. Anybody that argues that they're not quality players, quite frankly, either doesn't know what they're talking about or are desperately denying it. I also think you'll find that most Leicester fans, whilst confident and excited about the season (which I understand is difficult to swallow given that Leeds have nothing to be excited about) we also know that this will be a very difficult season, we'll arguably be the team to beat (along with WHU) and we definitely don't think we'll walk the league. In fact there is a thread on our board and pretty much all of our fans have us as coming second to WHU. The difference between Boro and us is Boro bought **** players from Scotland, we've bought quality players from the Championship!!

Last season you brought in Bamba, Yakubu, Vassell, Davies, Kamara, Roman Bentner, Waghorn, Naughton. In which were far superior to the **** you have just bought! With the exception of Bamba. That squad was supposedly better than ours. Yet we finished above you and if it wasn't for Kaspers idiotic dive on Vassell we prob would have hammered you at the walkers. Konchesky and Pantsil are both solid experienced PL full-backs, the latter also has nearly 70 international caps, yeah they're rubbish defenders you thick twat!! Ball was a quality player before his injury, if he is is fit, which he appears to be at the moment, then he is a very good player and pisses on any of your crap defenders. Bamba, again pisses on any players you have and then theirs Tunchev, who again funnily enough pisses on the shower of **** you have!! Our defence were useless last season yet we only conceded one more than the same **** back four that you're gonna start the season with!! When Sven took over we were bottom, if the season had started when Sven took over we would have finished above you but unfortunately we started the season with Sousa who, after 9 games, had only managed 5 points, 3 of which came at bellend road!! I don't think Leicester fans can read. We keep explaining about Kasper, but they keep ignoring it and replying with something no one has said. Kasper isn't a bad keeper, but he isn't great. Most Leeds fans rated him after 10 games or so, but since then he was crap for us. Good shot stopping doesn't make a great keeper. You've signed ONE stand out quality player in Matt Mills, but you really over paid for him. Apart from that, you signed a few decent players but not great. Leeds still have an attack miles better than Leicester.
Dear oh dear are you actually telling me both Pants-il and Konchesky in the same sentence are decent. And lets be honest here your last 14 games of the season included 4 wins/6 defeats/4 draws - With svens 17 trophies and his amazing management skills, surely he would have been ashamed of that record. So grayson on a limited budget in his management career: 2 promotions Sven who has been bank rolled wherever he has been this includes: Lazio, Man City, Fiorentina, Notts county, Leicester City. I never rated him either thought he was overweight, To be fair to some of the people that have come out since he left they have found out more about goings on behind the scenes since! you never know stuff until they leave
1st 6 games he was mint. Really did think we had a class act on our hands. But he was never the same after his injury. Put on weight, blamed his defence for his mistakes
If Sven was such a good manager, would he really be at Leicester? He'd be considered for Prem jobs instead, but he isn't. Also, his transfer record isn't great recently - he spent a lot of money of average players at City, and is mostly doing the same at Leicester. Leicester's squad doesn't really stand out from others. Just because you spend more money, pay higher wages and brag more than everyone else doesn't make you the best. I think Leicester will obviously be challenging for promotion, but there are atleast 5/6 teams with equal squads, and one team with a better team, who have made better and bigger signings, with a better manager - West Ham. Would you rather Paul Konscheksy and John Pantsil (2 failures in the Prem last season) or Nolan and Taylor? Not to mention they still have Cole, Parker, Noble, Collinson, Green and Tomkins etc. We have a better attack than Leicester. Our defence was crap last season, but may have improved. I really don't see why people think Leicester will walk the league.
Like I said before, I am quite jealous of all the transfer activity by Leicester at the moment but the expectations are going to be so great for them to do well. Just like when leeds were in Div 1 every team wanted to beat them, Leicester are going to be one of those teams that every other team turn it up against this season. I personally have never rated Sven, I wouldn't want to see him in charge at leeds. One way or another he won't be at Leicester next season. He will either fail and be sacked or win promotion and join the manager musical merry go round joining a more high profile team.
I rated the crap out of him but he went down hill after he came back in, if it wasnt for Higgs being so poor Casper may have struggled to get the shirt back. It did to be fair look like he was still carrying an injury as his distrubution wasnt up to scratch. Think he will do well & will improve in a couple of seasons. Wasnt the finished article & if Leciester want to take a punt on him good luck to him, I think with a year left on his contract we sold him at the right time
I wasn't sure about selling him at first but now that stuff is coming out about him refusing to do what the coaches told him and not getting on with the defence I think it's best we got rid, and for a £1.2m profit aswell it was decent business for us, especially with Lonergan coming in for £150k.
Sven will be here the season after. Anyway you lot bought promotion in the season 1989/90 - Strachan, Sterland, Jones and Hendrie to name but a few !! It's a long term thing, but I am loving how everybody seems to hate us now !! woohoo !!
