And rightly so. I was reading what happened on the Daily Mail website and it was absolutely unbelievably gruesome.
Good they sound like awful people. I hope they keep them in more than 15 years though. I know they're young but that is no excuse in this case, they enjoyed what they did.
Yep it was a horrendous case, both have to serve minimum of 15years. Judge decided to not lift anonymity though.
Not even *just* that. The way it seemed to be some kind of experiment to them. Hitting her with the TV, the printer, the wood with nails sticking out of it, stabbing her and the various other things they did. Just torturous. But yeah, the sharing photos and laughing about it is extremely messed up.
Has similarities to the 1950's murder in New Zealand, made famous worldwide by the film Heavenly Creatures.
I've just come perilously close to hitting a child while driving home. I feel sick when I think how close it was. I was coming around a corner and the kid just appeared in the road from behind a parked car. If I had been just a second later in slamming on the brakes I would have hit him. Thank **** for adrenalin is the only thing I can say. I wasn't going fast (it was a 30 limit and I never ever go over 30 in a 30 zone for this very reason) but he was only 2 or 3 and I dread to think what could have happened.
Well done you for stopping in time. As you say, good thing you were sticking to the speed limit. Did you see the parent? What on earth were they doing, letting a child that age loose so close to a road?
Yeah I did. The dad just lost concentration I think. He was visibly shocked and upset. He thanked me for stopping and apologised.
Just a similar momentary lapse of concentration on your part and it could have turned out very differently. Sorry Tom to use this as an excuse for one of my personal hobby-horses, but this sort of thing is exactly why we have speed limits, and why there are more and more 20 mph limits in residential areas. I am the proud co-ordinator of our local Speed Watch group, and when people hurl abuse at us as they often do, this is the sort of thing we tell them about.
I can't stand people who break the speed limit in residential areas. That extra 5-10mph could be the difference between killing someone and stopping in time.
Yeah but those speed limits aren't needed that is just the police wanting to make money out of us poor motorists who need to go everywhere fast because we are important.
http://www.theverge.com/2016/4/6/113...app-easy-order To order a pizza with "zero clicks," a customer must first download the app, connect it to their Domino's profile, and set an "Easy Order" option — you know, the go-to pizza you'd order regularly enough to warrant a dedicated app Once everything is set, simply opening the "Zero Click" app will order said pizza. If you want to cancel the order, the app provides a 10-second countdown. This solution clearly isn't a flawless method to prevent the inherent problem with the app. Being trialled in US and if successful will come here. Sounds ****. Imagine your children or a accidently clicking on the app a few times.
Or losing your network at an inappropriate moment after you've made the error of even contemplating a Domino Pizza.
