At lot had been made of our very long odds at the beginning of the season, anyone know what were the odds for the other teams? Were ours exceptional or the norm? The outside bets not Chelsea, Arsenal etc
Very long odds is an understatement. 5000-1 is a 0.02% chance - the same as the Loch Ness monster being proven to exist http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35528329 Currently the odds have us 75% chance to win the league. please log in to view this image
so when did everyone first believe that there was a CHANCE of us winning it? For me the 2-1 over Chelsea put a little thought in my mind but the first thought of anything more than a wild wish was the liverpool 2-0
Man City away but then we lost to Arsenal which put more doubt. I'd say the mid week we drew with West Brom and the rest all lost the next day
I remember after Newcastle away saying to my mate "Can you imagine if we got a Champions League place!" and we both discussed who we'd like to get in our group having a laugh.
If we win the league and are top seeded, I would think as a minimum we should expect not to finish bottom of the group and have European football in the new year whether champions league or Europa if we finished 3rd
