Well unexpectedly, I am able to go to the game tomorrow night - whoopee...

Don't have a season ticket this year due to lack of games I can get to so, look on website, still some tickets available in the Atyeo. Great, I don't work too far away so I'll dap down the ground lunchtime and get them.

Get to the ground, "yes sir, we have tickets but I can't sell them to you", you'll have to go back to your office, order them on-line and then you can come back again and pick them up. What the **** - Attempt 1 failed.

Back to the office with steam coming out of my ears, dial up website again to spot that RIGHT AT THE VERY BOTTOM disclaimer to say no in person sales. Find seats, reserve them on website, go to pay."enter supporter ID number" - WTF, I obviously have one but can't remember it, bought tickets on-line many times before, never had that. - Attempt 2 failed. My colleagues have applied ear plugs by this point due to outbreak of Tourettes.

Right, no other option now but to ring club to try and buy on phone. First effort, robot gives me no option available to buy a ticket for a single match. Try nearest sounding option, **** off, we're too busy taking season card orders email us and we'll get back to you in 24 hours or ring back again later - hang up, burrrrrrrrrrrrr... = Attempt 3 failed and the paint is peeling of the walls by now.

Ring again, select season card option, 20 minutes later, get through and finally manage to secure tickets.

By all accounts, I was far from alone in turning up to buy tickets today and there were some more senior citizens who said they were not computer savvy who simply aren't going to get in due to the "online only" bollocks.

In short, another ****ing shambles from our beloved club. Ok, you could say that I should have noticed the no sales in person" comment but maybe, it would be a good idea to put It at the top of the page where it is clearly ****ing visible, not right down the bottom.

I despair of where this world is going, everything is on-****ing-line now. I tried to buy a present from Next at Christmas, found it on the website, went to the shop to but it, "sorry sir, you can only get that on-line"

Well, tell you what, I don't want to get it on-line and no ****er should be able to dictate to me how I purchase their goods, from them. I want to go to a shop and see the item I am buying and then come away from the shop with it in my hand.

Sometimes at my office, we almost have a convoy of trucks queuing up to deliver **** from Amazon. Society is rapidly turning into a WALL-E culture where we will all lose the use of our legs cos no ****er will ever get off their motorised bed again.

Am I a dinosaur...? well I'll tell you what, I don't give a toss if I am. There are still plenty of us about and the club had better get it in their head quick that the majority of the fan base is probably not in its first flush of youth and going on-line only is probably the quickest way to piss your own fan base off so better reinstate buying tickets at the ground next season when the ground is fully open.

Rant over - yours, Mr Angry ....

Are you a dinosaur?.... physiologically impossible.

Sorry to say but things are so much easier to buy on the Internet. I do food/clothes/presents/tickets/holidays and pretty much every other thing you can buy online. Get with the times or you'll get left behind <ok>

Haha, I guessed it would be one of the "young-un's" replying.

Even as recently as 10 years ago there was no such thing as buying on-line to any great degree, so what has been around for a significant percentage of your life and which you probably regard as "normal" is still "new-ish" to us older models.

You had to physically go to a shop to buy something for most of my life and no doubt I am probably in the minority but, I actually like doing that and looking around and also window shopping. I like to see what I am buying rather than have some ****e rubbish turn up. Good job they don't sent trucks to pick up the stuff sent back as well as the girls I work with probably return 50% of the stuff that they order back to Amazon as not being remotely anything like the goods in the glossy online brochure..

We come from massively different times shiny but my preference to physically visit a shop to purchase goods should not be regarded as a sign of being "old fashioned" and I should add that I am not addressing that remark to you specifically but to the world at large....

Our club is renowned for being incompetent ticket sales wide.

Online stuff is often ****ed up by ****ting programming and bad design but is useful when working correctly.

I prefer to shop in person though, something not everyone understands is that somethings have to be viewed and tried out in person before buying

There are people with disabilities who would not be able to purchase tickets online. It looks discriminatory.

In fairness to the club, they do say that this applies while the redevelopment is on however I get the distinct impression that they would probably like to go down this road permanently if they thought that they could get away with it (to which the answer is absolutely not). Get the robots to handle it, means less staff required...

Nearly everyone I speak to about it is less than satisfied with the service received from Bristol Sport as a whole. They are seen as remote and uncaring. That culture will eventually bite them up on the bum. The issue of ticket sales is however something which has evolved from the bad old days when hatred of the opposition was real and manifested itself in regular violence. Perhaps it is the price we have to pay for being safe?

BUYING ON LINE .. being most likely one of the most elderly on here, I am sort of on the fence...!
I am on this forum so have a little knowledge of what a key board is and what it can achieve ...
the internet ... it really is one of the wonders of the world ... but can fully understand all your frustrations Prem, and I think it is trying to get over probably 50 plus years of going to a place that has it, one of them please ..card or cash ... thankyou ( very few cheque's now, )
    1) need a couple of bearings for my van. locate on Euro carparts site, order to pick up in store. Log out. Check e mail as requested for confirmation, 1 minute later .."goods are ready to collect in 15 mins"... Arrival at store was a que, 7 peeps in front,( it was the 12 -2 dinner time ) extra person comes on to serve half the que make a beeline for the check out, halted by those words "anyone click and collect" I was sorted in minutes ..
    2) thief trash's my door lock, phone up, after looking at site that "has them" instead of 1 bought 2 saved 30% put the phone down after paying, and next morning they arrived..... only place in Bristol was 3x the cost .... £100 +vat
CERTAINLY AGREE the CITY or BRISTOL SPORT are far far faraway from an accomplished business venture, in fact with success of SL I can't see his influence is rubbing off ... both seem to be in the same boat one rowing forward one backward !
maybe RR should give them a rocket!!!!!

still like to go to the retail parks and Proper job type shops to see what is available

As someone who works in the disabilities field, and has contacted Bristol Sport and received that answer, I do consider it to be discriminatory.

Prem, you're not on your own.
If I treated my clients/customers the way Bristol Sport treat theirs, I'd been bankrupt years ago.
It was impossible to renew my season ticket last week online (is it one word?) so waited 30 minutes on the phone.
Eventually a very helpful voice admitted they were still having problems online but nevertheless he successfully renewed my seat for next year.
Getting a cup ticket next year will also be impossible, it's the way AG works.

I reported that the Stats page on the website was not working two or three weeks ago . I had no reply and its still down. Says it all really. Their couldn't care less attitude is making me wonder whether I want to renew.

You are considering not renewing your season ticket because the stats page on the website is not working??

You go to watch the ****ing football mate. Renew your season ticket and support the boys on the pitch, who gives a **** if the stats page doesn't work. That's no reason to not support your team, if it is then I question whether you are actually a fan at all.....

Best way to bypass ticket line is to chose option for commercial dept or community whatever, apologise
and then ask to be transferred to ticket office and jump the queue in process.

Take a pop in which ever way you want I don't care. My point is that almost everybody states that the way Bristol Sport deals with its customers is crap. If it were any other business it would lose its customers. So if I decide to state that I have almost reached the point at which I am questioning the desire of the club to treat fans as important then that is my privilege as it is my money. It does not mean that I am not a fan. If people decide to shell out money without question then that is their right. I am just saying that this latest issue is simply the last in a long line of "we don't give a fig" responses (or more precisely lack of them) . Or would you prefer that I simply say "F**K 'em". Unfortunately that is not my style.

I don't know what motivates you to be such an obnoxious human being who actually believes you have some god given right to talk down to people. You seem to pick on people who don't necessarily agree with your viewpoint and then insult them at will. If its not MTG it's me The best way to deal with people like you is to ignore them, so I will from now on.
