What Premier League team wouldn't be confident against a defence containing Coloccini & Dummet? You're making out that they're a tough partnership, which they're not.
Agreed, and third choice Darlow behind that lot wouldn`t fill me with confidence if I was a Toon fan.
The only thing that worries me is that we haven't had our annual home defeat to **** team yet this season...
Yeah true. To be fair, failing to get maximum points from Villa this season is one of the lowlights in itself Such an awful team..
Chelsea have been relegation candidates at points this season too, so I'm happy with that Third 4-0 win in a row in this fixture it is then...
So doesn't sound too serious for Steve Davis...or at least not as clear cut as a break. Good news about Long returning...wasn't sure he would make this weekend.
Also interesting to hear that Tadic was surprised to be in the news this week. Will be unhappy about not playing, but as Ron says he is not a player who doesn't speak to the manager when he has a gripe.
We are going to smash them. Due a win, and their defence is woeful. Come on saints! Long will make the difference. Hoping Austin can get a run out too. I'd be tempted to start Long and Austin over Pelle / Mane
Good that Long is back, would certainly start him if fit enough. Midfield 3 of Vic, Clasie & JWP. Glad to here Davis injury not as severe as first thought.
This is one of those games that could be decided by how quickly we come out of the blocks, at the start of the game. An early goal or two, for us, would make them push forward and become more vulnerable. Play as we did against the Mackems and Villains and it will be a dour day's football.
