I like mayo on mine but there'll be Brown, red Mayonnaise and I always use Birds Eye haddock fish fingers and fresh cut white bread. I'm considering making a fish finger and mushy pea butty. I think that could work.
I've not checked for a while, but some time ago, one of those daft conversations led to some people I know given the challenge to find a product labelled just "red sauce". Back then, they couldn't find one.
Ive always said I believe that brown sauce would be much more popular and not looked down upon if it had a better name. Savoury jus?
It can sound wrong if you ask youngsters if they want to try Daddies sauce. Daddies brown sauce is just a wrong phrase.
Daddies is the best by far, le creme de la Dad. If you go for Houses of Parliament sauce you havent got a ****ing clue.
Brown Sauce, Red Sauce. Which one would you prefer to dip your sausage in? I prefer to use "HP" or "Ketchup". It keeps my mind's eye at ease. HP Fruity is my preferred choice to accompany most things although it has to be Ketchup & vinegar on a Fish Finger Butty.
