I think that this is an important story but agree that it is more about politics than football. I am going to close this thread now and suggest that further discussion is taken to Beefy's or the Politics thread.
Ok. I have received a PM asking for this thread to be reopened in the light of more footy stuff emerging. Ok, so here's the deal. Discussion of the news is fine but as we have previously agreed that politics is restricted to the politics thread, any discussion of the politics of the tax system etc can't take place here.
