Haven't seen that yet. But I bet they'll still come out with the old "everything was legal" crap.

It's the sheer hypocrisy of it that boils the blood. Squeezing the pips out of taxpayers and crying crocodile tears and false indignation about Amazon and Starbucks!!

If somebody earns £5m and dumps it in an offshore account - the devil.

If somebody wins £164m on the lottery they pay no tax on their winnings - let's put him on the front page of the Sun and admire his good fortune.

This country is a joke. I wouldn't pay a penny tax if I could find a legitimate loop hole.

Good. They'd get no more value from this country if they paid their 'fair share' anyway. It'd find its way to projects in India and building houses for more immigrants.

A lesson on how to have your cake and eat it. Just after the second world war there was a serious shortage of accommodation especially in London so the magnanimous owners of huge Victorian houses in Notting Hill agreed that Westminster Council could lease the houses for fifty years provided that the houses were fully maintained and returned to the owners with their original fabrics etc intact or suitably replaced.

Fast forward to now and most of the tenants of Notting Hill are beneficiaries of self perpetuating trusts that were set up by their great grandfathers at the turn of the 20th century. All possibly done to prevent paying property taxes then, but of huge benefit to those who have them now.

We do not know the half of how these people can tie things up so that the offspring of their offspring benefit forever.

And in the meantime while these rich bastards deprive the nation of countless millions of tax revenue, some poor twat who gets caught fiddling to make ends meet ends up before the courts..

Some of you guy's are finally waking up but you are miles too late.
Ask yourselves (or your local MP - who will turn his back on you) why you are bringing in thousands and thousands of people when there is no accommodation, no jobs, the hospitals are closing down, the education system is a shambles and the welfare system is almost at saturation point.
Why is Great Britain giving billions in aid to India when India have their own space program.

Incredible planning by the families who owned those properties ot hive them off to the council with all the conditions effectively tying the council's hands to return rundown properties in top condition.

What I missed from the original post about this was the houses were turned into flats and the owners got a % of the rents as well as getting the houses back ready to live in.
