I've got a feeling this could be another Sunderland match if we don't take it really seriously. Just because Newcastle are usually c**p doesn't mean they will accommodate us. If our crossing is as bad as it was against Lester then they will walk a 0-0.
In keeping with the positive thread, you mean you have a feeling it could be another Sunderland match...from last year
It was so long ago since we last played them, first game of the season and they caught us on the break for both goals. Sure we won't get caught again. So many attacking options, think game will suit pelle, but would like to see Austin start and jrod play a big part.
If we get an early goal we could be on for a big score. I'd go for it from the off. JRod was always good at an early goal. I'd be interested to see a team with Long down the left. Mane down the right and JRod up front. Davis in the middle with Romeu and Clasie behind. Lot's of attacking options if everyone's fit.
Like Tom says too soon to start Jay, and anyway, surely him in the left and Lomg down the middle? Hasn't Long shown in the last three months that is where he's at his best?
Austin has to be given time, want him to bag a few in the run in. Forster Cedric font vvd Bert Vic classie Davis Austin mane pelle Bench; steak, yosh, romeu, targett, jwp, j-rod, tadic Or 5-2-3 with Austin on bench although I would like to see Austin start to click with front 3.
Their defence does seem vulnerable and whilst I would like to see balls thrown into their penalty area, we can also out play them with speed and once touch passes. Will be surprised and gobsmacked if we don't score a few in this one. Mind you I was surprised and gobsmacked to find out they made a third kung fu panda movie.
You could get some t-shirts made up with a suitable logo.... I don't know, something like, "We Are Not606- Keyboards Ever- Ready for Saints" Actually, that would cost a fortune and the letters would be too small. Oh, just use the acronym
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...ews/how-newcastle-united-signed-deal-11149839 No great revelation, but reporting how Forster demanded to be number one or he wanted out at Newcastle. Pardew decided that Krul was the better option and let FF go to Celtic. So Fras isn't the big softie he looks and could look after his career. GKs are always a problem....you can't play them out of position, so a good keeper could find himself benched most of the season.
Being a bit overconfident aren't we? Coloccini and Dummet are back so be warned Pelle and Long will have a hard time trying to get behind them.
I don't know. I'm working with a Newcastle fan this week and he says they'll let in three goals, and that's his idea of the best case scenario.
