Not very original but Jason Day is the player to back here. He's by far the best player in the world at the moment, and having won his first major at the end of last season he is now a player who believes he can win these big tournaments. That makes things ominous for everyone else. You watch the way he destroyed the field in those 2 play off events last year, and the way he won the match play last week, he's a guy who's incredibly confident. And I think his A game is better than everyone else's, even Spieth and Mcilroy can't compete as they don't have the lentgh and accuracy combined off the tee that Day has. His short game is incredible, and his putting is also pretty good. It's flawless golf when he's playing well. Mcilroy had a bogey free round when they met in the match play, and Day still beat him. So he's going to take all the stopping this week if you ask me.
