Words fail me!...I am not a tweeter user and this is why it’s the normal thing for a hand full of people to act like morons and ruin it for others, How can these so called people be so disgusting against a child and mother?
I don’t care who it’s against these people should be hunted down thrown in Jail and left to rot for many years to reflect on what they have done.

People need to be made more aware that you can't say what you like on the internet.

My guess is that these are kids who don't know any better and think it's some kind of joke.

    Absolutely disgusting mind.

They are doing it for the rise, purposely doing it to get a reaction. Its an old adage, but don't feed the trolls.

Good thing now-a-days is that if they actually decide to goto the police with it, it will be taken seriously.
People should start treating their internet personas very carefully, as its coming increasingly hard for people to hide behind their computer screens without authorities being able to track them.

Looking at the tweets that are on Vards profile, it looks like theres no chance of him entertaining the idea of playing for Man U.

It's not jail worthy to troll but people need to understand that it's not ok and there are consequences - a fine and suspended sentence?

I think it is HIAG. 14 year old sounds about right for him. His main spout is how much better spurs are than Leicester and Harry Kane is england's saviour.
May see Vardy as a threat to the love of his life - Harry Kane.
I don't want to trivialise this as it is a cowardly act.

I don't think any of you have seen what was written.

Click on the tag and remember that these were sent to a mother who posted a picture of her baby daughter in a Leicester shirt.

I'm not saying that it isn't disgraceful and awful - but it's not a jail-worthy offence is it? More than likely a moment of isolated poor judgement by an individual which needs dealing with by the police with a consequence - but not that of jail

I wouldn't consider spending one penny of taxpayers' money putting scum like these in prison, but they need a short sharp shock treatment that really does persuade them that they shouldn't do things like this again. Deterrents are meant to be sufficiently harsh that people don't commit the offence, so a slap on the wrist or a kindly word in the ear doesn't cut it for me.

Making sexual threats against a baby deserves a custodial sentence, and being put on the sex offenders register. Dont care how old the offender is, he should find out what inmates think of him.

Sorry but i cant agree with that at all. A 14 year old internet troll who has never touched a child in his life, nor have any real intention, should not be placed on a sex offenders register.

I used to work with a bloke many years ago whose prescribed punishment for any offence was that the accused should be tied to a board and have his knackers mashed to cream! I just couldn't get past the picture of the judge handing down this sentence. <laugh> Still brings a smile to my face even now.

How do you know - no one knows anything about this kid.

There was a story a while back about a kid who stabbed another kid through the heart killing him. The excuse that he never stabbed anyone before didn't fly there and he was done for murder - this isn't anywhere in the same ballpark as that but the principle is the same, you do the crime now face the consequences.

I completely agree - the crime needs a very serious consequence. My point was that if they haven't commited the offence then you cant punish them because you 'think they might'. To say that these people should be put on the sex offenders register makes a mockery of the register and would 'soften' it - if your name is on that then you are dispicable and vile - if you add every internet troll's name onto it you would get a massive list of people who have never commited the crime and weaken the effect of the list.

Plus, on another note, it's probably a school kid who has just been a complete and utter idiot. It needs dealing with very firmly so that they, and others, never want to do it every again and understand the seriousness of it but what you dont really want to do is ruin a childs life for one moment of utter stupidity which had no substance behind the threat.

The kid did commit an offence - threatening to rape a toddler is a crime and the police were notified and the kid was arrested.

Also what do you know about the kid - it could be a goodie two shoes boy scout with a crap sense of humour or a girl who sets dogs on fire for fun. There is a story on the front page of BBC about two 13 year old girls who tortured a woman to death - age is not a reason for leniency.

I do not know what the judgement will be - maybe the kid does this a lot and there is substance, maybe this is sick troll posting vile crap for the first time - but either way a crime was committed, a kid was caught and will be punished.

Oh I completely agree 100%. I was just disagreeing with the lost that said that the punishment should be thrown in jail and on the list based on those comments alone.

Doubt we will even know the punishment - unless the kid turns out to be a serial abuser or the judge wants to send a message, the judgement will be kept private as the kid is a minor.
