Did they say it was offensive? He cites 'Kill All Huns' as offensive. Of course it is! Saying kill all any group of people is offensive. Kill All Gingers is offensive. Calling someone ginger is not offensive. Again, you've demonstrated your ability to totally misunderstand what another person is saying. I do stay clear of it. You're the only one who has a problem with it. No one gave a **** about people using the word until you appeared on here with your 606 mentality, complaining about everything and posting about the same subject on a near daily basis.
How is it bullshit? It's not just medro that has said it is used in the derogative in NI, there are a few Celtic fans have also said that it is. You have been told more than numerous times that IT IS AN OFFENSIVE TERM (capitals used so you don't miss the point). As the moderator of the Celtic board, it is your responsibility to moderate anything that is complained about that is deemed offensive. You have been told time and time again, but continue to use the term in a derogative manner towards other posters. Before you start your ****e about I should moderate the Rangers board, pictures of disabled kids etc, I have asked for anyone who finds anything offensive to point me in the direction of it and I will take action. I never noticed anything because I skipped lots of pages seeing as I have a job You've been told explicitly what is deemed offensive and it is up to you to do something about it. And if it helps, I'm offended by the term 'hun', when used in the derogative
I also find it offensive, there is more than one complaining. Would you take more notice if more Rangers fans came here to tell you they find it offensive?
So hold on, you want to know if a member of the nationalist community wants to know if the term hun is offensive to unionists!?! But you don't care what unionists say on the matter? Jesus. That is an example of how the word is used over here and how it is sectarian, remember you asked for that. Yet I'm pretty sure it was you that said on here about the protesters had every right to challenge the OO marches. Excuse me for highlighting you lot using sectarian language time and time again. Before you start off on 'it's not sectarian here' well it is over here, so like McBride said cut it out and we won't nned to have these discussions anymore!
You accused other posters of saying things. You've already been told to stop doing that because they don't want you twisting their words. No it isn't. Jesus, are you really this stupid? He says that Kill All Huns is offensive. Of course it is. I've already explained to you why and showed you how you can say that about anything and it would be offensive. He did not say it was bigoted. No, I didn't. There in a nutshell is your problem. You misunderstand what other people say. We don't use sectarian language all the time. Are you a woman? You sound like my girlfriend when we're having an argument. Exaggeration, misquoting, misunderstanding simple statements. You need to give up your one man campaign because you're starting to sound like one of those lunatics on the fringes of society.
Is it the hun bit you are offended by though when used this way? Or the fact its derogatory in nature? Ie do you take more offence to hun bastard that being called an ugly bastard for instance? Are you offended if i call you a wonderful hun?
I have to say, I'm not offended by the term, I think it is good/normal that rivals have derogatory terms for one another, fenian, taig, hun, orange bastard, but then again I'm hard as nails that way.
I agree with you. Rangers fans can call me all the names under the sun (fenian, taig, tarrier **** this and that) and I couldn't give a ****. The truth is no one was bothered about any of this until Medro appeared.
That's right, hop, skip and a jump off topic. Posters from N.I's nationalist community have said what the word means. Now you want to know if they find it offensive!?! This is to explain to you that I didn't just come up with the idea that hun now means Rangers supporters. It means member of the unionist community over here. That article backs that up. Apologies then, you must then agree the OO can march and if people dodn't like it, they shouldn't go near them. No I am not a woman. A sound like a woman now because I along with many want you to cut the word HUN out of your vocabulary.
If you called me an ugly bastard it would be out of pure jealousy To be perfectly honest, it wouldn't offend me regardless of what you called me. My point is that hun is an offensive term in NI and used to stigmatise a group of people, in this case unionists. I've never been to NI and don't know nearly enough to comment on the troubles, and not been affected by them in the slightest. Obviously you and medro have totally different experiences and views which is fine, but I would delete anything flagged as offensive to nationalists if it was pointed out to me The problem lies in ST, who as far as I'm aware doesn't have the experience or knowledge about NI history, flat out refuses to awknowledge that the term hun is deemed as offensive.
Well im born and bred in Armagh NI and ive never heard it used towards a protestant. And trust me ive heard them called many a choice name! So i dont get it. Sterio, like me, like all celtic fans see hun to mean rangers fans. the word alone cannot offend
You're a **** stirring prick I have said many times that in the context of how I use the word I do not consider it offensive. I'm not referring to people from NI when I use it. I mean it as people who support Rangers regardless of religion, colour or nationality. I have made that clear on many occasions so there is absolutely no reason for Medro to be offended when he knows that. Dev has told him many times that he does not use the word Hun in relation to NI yet Medro is still offended. The simple fact is that Medro is an uber-offended mope who, with just a quick scan of his posting history, is only interested in stirring up sectarian nonsense both here and on General Chat as can be seen by his latest thread about bigoted chanting.
The word 'hun' is not used to label the Protestant/Unionist community here. It's primarily used against Rangers supporters. Protestant supporting Rangers? Hun Catholic supporting Rangers? Hun Jedi? Hun With Orange Order parades you will mostly hear 'black bastard', 'masonic/orange ****'. Medro, you are one delicate little black masonic hun spastic bastard and you make me laugh
B-Felcher, you can say it till you're blue in the face (excuse the offence!) but it wont make any difference to Medro.
So me, that Guardian reporter and the people on here that confirmed my point are all telling lies? Or, you're claiming ignorance along with a few others to continue using the word.
Could we not work out some sort of rota system which would mean we don't all have to be on here at the same time, just one of us signs in, regurgitates the same pish for a few hours then somebody else can do the same, it would amount to the same. I'm happy enough to do the Tuesday morning shift and possibly Thursdays, depending on meetings etc.
