Yeah he's not getting a Premier League job any time soon. I imagine that someone like Forest or Leeds would like him. That sort of under achieving big club.
Don't think he'd go to TWS while the current owner is in charge. He'd find Cellino even worse than Allam
I'm not going to criticise Bruce for putting out the same team last night that actually won a game for the first time in ages. However something is definitely missing either at player or managerial/ training level (or both) to allow such a capitulation. Do we have a bunch of 'big time charlies' who think getting stuck in is beneath them, or do we have a manager who either can't motivate his team or sends them out with a negative game-plan? Wherever the blame lies something has to change because last night was well below the minimum standard supporters have a right to expect. We have put up with a lack of passion, drive and positivity all season, but the importance of the Derby game was so obvious that there was no excuse for anything less than a battling display. The owners need to step in now and get to the bottom of this. Then they need to make whatever decisions are necessary to try and save this season.
Why not? Why is there this strange assumption that the same team in the same formation that won a game against a side struggling against relegation is logically the best possible combination we could put out against a promotion contender three days later?
Why when I asked this question earlier in the season was I shot down? This is the problem and you can cry FIFA manager or whatever but Bruce just doesn't do enough to exploit other teams weaknesses. It doesn't look like we do a lot of scouting the opposition, instead relying on our own strengths to hopefully get the job done. You often see other managers in the stands watching us, but you never hear of any of our lads watching Anybody. Did we send somebody to scout Huddersfield? What will we do about Nakhi Wells? How will we stop him running riot against two very slow centre halves?
It's the same problems as last year, despite been in a different Division. Start of last season we only had once decent full back in Rosenior, so we bought 2 centre halves of which only Macca could play full back. We've sorted the right out with Moses, but if Robertson is injured or is just generally poor, who is going to take his place? Our best option is playing well for Scunthorpe. Wait a minute we did sign Ryan Taylor. Davies has been our best player for a couple of months now, however, he does have that mistake in him. I've never seen a footballer not be able to kick a football in a straight line before. I always joke theres mines around him when hes got the ball, the ball goes off in all directions. He usually passes it to Robertson who either hoofs it down the line and we have no runners, or Robertson passes it to Clucas who passes it back or passes it back to Davies. We have no build up play, no idea to be honest.
I for one can't defend/forgive Bruce for putting out the same team last night, and for playing this way against M'boro, Derby, or Bristol, he just got lucky last Saturday, with McG making a few good saves in the first half. By his own admission he thought Diame was tired, surely that's what his squad is for and you put a team out to beat the challenge/opposition in front of you, rather than a team picked out of sentiment and "one size fits all". I would have thought a team near the bottom of the division would have different threats/challenges to one near the top, one of our promotion competitors. Lets not forget, this is SBs team, he brought the players in, and as he often says you are only as good as your strikers, where actually are the strikers he invested in? Our top scorer, main striker is bench warming, with the invisible men, Akpom and Diomande, nowhere to be seen! Besides giving the mental advantage to our opposition that we are playing with no recognised strikers, just 6 midfielders, I wonder what exactly Dawson and Davies feel, it must put more mental pressure on them to keep clean sheets?
The one glaring omission OLM is….. wait for it…. I TAKE RESPONSIBILITY…. !!!…. thats what really ****s me off about the useless fat ****. Its always someone else's 'INDIVIDUAL ERRORS' … if the team had a spine the 'individual errors' would mean nothing because when you go behind to one of the 'individual errors' you re group yes 'group' as every other team above seem to have the ability to do and get back level and even in front. He's gone form hero to zero in no time at all and I cannot wait to see the back of him and his hands in tracksuit pocket management style.
Why is it whenever City loses, people come on here questioning everything Bruce has ever done? You weren't here after the Bristol City game. It's boring. Our points return against the Top 6 hasnt been good enough but bottom half teams only now. We should be looking forward to what's to come.
Pretty much spot on.the club has caught dry rot.owners don't care.managers lost his way.players have no direction and fans are uninspired and undervalued.im beginning to think the Allams did not save the club for the future but to slow torture to death
Maybe thats because we were all in shock having watched a team score 2 goals in 5 league games in February and 2 goals in 4 games in March. If you can't see it… God help you!!!!
I think that's what pisses me off. Three were a whole host on the derby thread moaning yet on the Bristol thread they are completely absent. Why can't they even say well done or great stuff. It's like they're willing their own club to fail and are only happy moaning
It's not February or March? How's that relevant? We've already scored 4 goals in April. What's your point?
