Ok, we'll see I suppose I read 'early' as being a date set that would be a lot earlier than the start of next season, and actually if you accept the scheme as sensible that would be sensible too so they know as early as possible how many have joined You're suggesting the fee will only apply if you join after the season has started , which seems odd as I assume not many would do that anyway, but we'll know soon enough hopefully
I never said there was, but until any official revisions are posted, I prefer to go by the club's current published statement over your guess work. As it stands, in the context of what I posted and without the question being re-written, your 'no fee' claim is clearly wrong and misleading, as the current scheme has a charge for new members after an uncertain cut off date, exactly as I posted. If new members can sign for free, the £50 charge is a nonsense anyway, as people would just use someone elses details to rejoin. Has someone really spent two years coming up with this?
Given it's the clubs quote, that you copied, and I quoted, that reply looks even dafter. Personal comments, appeals to the gallery and a nervous smiley head seem to be quite a trait for you, at, shall we call them certain points in discussions with various posters that question your version. Better to stick to the issues, rather than trying to divert it and making it personal eh,.
To be accurate, the quote I copied was from the HDM. Your irony metre must be off the scale with that one.
You make a good point about auto renewal of passes keeping same direct debit in place. Signing new direct debits every year should have been unnecessary in the last few years. People just need to sign a variable direct debit stipulated to be for a current and future seasons and any cup matches ONCE like for annual Council Tax bills and utilities and the club has to give 14 days notice to take any extra or changed amount. People could opt out of Cup if they wish. They could have kept season cards and they could last until they wear out being enabled so long as payments continue. There is no need for this membership marketing nonsense and absolutely no need to get rid of concessions or close stands. I could understand a membership scheme if it was to attract extra occasional supporters by giving them a card which was personal to them and could be enabled for any forthcoming match upon any payment via the web or at the ground. Everything at the club is geared up for losing supporters and not on attracting them. with these sort of disasters anyone at other clubs who was a paid employee running the club would have been sacked by now but I doubt AA will sack Ehab.
Thanks I did wonder if I was missing something on the direct debits if you take that part out of it, how is it actually a membership scheme?
That's exactly what the first level of membership is, you'll get a card on which you can load individual games or bundles of games.
Ehab's claims regarding the nightmare of annual renewal are based on self inflicted bureaucracy. They just need to advise revised amounts of money to be taken.
I found annual renewal really easy until they started buggering us around leaving it too bloody late and moving us into different areas
The amount paid is just one small aspect of the renewals, the whole process of sending out new application forms and getting people to sign up again every year is a cumbersome process and avoiding it completely has to be a good idea.
The point is that you can do away with it without all of the rest of this farce All you need to do is sign a direct debit saying you want your seat until you tell them you don't want it, and then they send you something every year telling you if the price has changed Like a mobile phone contract for example It doesn't need a so called 'membership' scheme to solve that problem
I said it was from the HDM. Although the HDM are quoting the club, so it is the best we have for a definitive version. None of which alters the fact that the club have said that, after some as yet unknown date, and subject to which league we're in there will be a charge for new members. Which is all that I said. I'm not sure why you're arguing that clear point of fact.
