Yep. Atletico still looking comfortable though. Providing they see out first 10 I actually fancy them to hold on.
My support is with Athletico after a rather harsh sending off. Would love Benfica to pull off a miracle in against Bayern and eliminate them.
Suarez s everything tonight. The good, the bad and the ugly!! He is a very different footballer, though, from the one that snarled in the EPL!!
2 yellows. Couldn't realky argue with either. The 2nd one was particuarly stupid to do when on a yellow.
This might be the final few weeks that this wonderful Barca are together if any of their prized assets are prised away by the likes of City,, PSG or even United!! So we had better enjoy their fabulous individuality and collective play while it lasts because I feel it will be a long time before we see such a brilliant team again.
Not at all bad for Benfica either. It's OK, I'll clarify for people who don't have a clue what we're on about: Champions League Quarter Final 1st leg Barcelona 2-1 A.Madrid B.Munich 1-0 Benfica
On paper it looks good, but Atletico will need to attack Barca who have the tools to rip Atletico apart should they be adventurous. Likewise Benfica who will have to attack. Bayern will pick them off!! So the way I see things in the semi is Barca playing PSG (unless their QF opponents can oust them) (they met in the groups stage earlier so sometimes it pays to be in the same group as the favourites as you won't have to play them until a later stage)
Another massive night on Thursday with Athletic playing Sevilla. OK the smart money is on Dortmund but Villareal are quietly progressing through the tournament and are to my mind the best of the La Liga contingent left. They certainly have the tools to knock out Dortmund should the two meet in the next round so it could be another all Iberian final in this completion with Braga also involved.
