We've only met three times in cup finals and those were the first two.

 

So you won the first game and then the second game! !
in 2008 when the pundits discussed the game in the build up to kick off as they try to decide who will win you can be sure one of them (at least) will have said "well of course Spurs did win the last time these two met here so they have previous, and history is on their side".

The fact that there was a 41 year gap between the two games would be an irrelevance to the pundits and to the fans !
