Jackie Chan ... Vards will then get his arse soundly kicked and end up recuperating in a budhist temple where, having discovered humility and remorse, he comes under the tutelage of Jobber The Hut, a drum playing Giant Panda who will instruct him in that most obscure of the martial arts, Chat, ****, Bang ... Vards will then join the cult of the blue armed assassins and embark on the destruction of the evil order known as Defenders Of The Premier League ... now I will confess that I have only obtained a draft extract of the script ... but it would appear to veer alarmingly away from factual accounts of the casino incident ... but then again, just look what they did with The Hobbit and that romance between Kili and Tauriel ... nothing is sacred ....bloody script writers eh?
I got slated because I put a bet on a few weeks ago of Leicester to win the league and to be relegated the season after. I'm quite confident.
What's your angle here apart from being a complete WUM prick? If you've got nothing better to do then come on here to criticise one of our greatest players it says a lot about you.
Particularly disappointing when all they've had from our end in recent months has been graciousness. Seems it doesnt take long to become an arrogant ignorant **** prick fan when your team is in 'The Big Four'.
He's not one of your greatest ever players. He's a legend, and rightly so, for being a captain through all four divisions but you've had (and currently have) plenty of better footballers.
It wasn't with a bookies, it was with a Leicester supporting mate, £50. I checked online and you can't seem to bet relegation for next season, presumably because we don't know who will be in what league. I'll admit, I'm not great with bookies, if I pop down to the local one you reckon they would find some oddds for me?
... a fHull and his money ... I doubt that we'll be in the relegation scrap ... great youngsters coming through the ranks (Gray, Chilwell, Dodoo, Choudry, Panayitou and a kid who I think is related to Emile Heskey (name escapes me)) ... but we are also in for players that we could only have dreamt of, like Ahmed Musa who we are apparently going to meet the £23 m buy out clause for now ... we've already got Daniel Amartey who looks very good in the cameo we have seen ... yes we will also see some departures (Inler for one) but hopefully nobody that we actually want to keep (might be different following season) .. I have never witnessed such quaity at the club in over 40 years ... so I'll happily predict that we will be finishing top half for the next few years ...
You're right, he wasn't the most naturally gifted footballer, but his presence on the pitch made him invaluable. He's one of our most loved players and definitely one of the most revered, but in terms of ability he wouldn't get anywhere near the top 10.
On paper? Possibly so. Not seen many players make such an impact on a team as Ashbee did in ours. Take him out, we were woeful.
Gray didn't come through your ranks, you bought him. I'd be very surprised if you didn't field any bids for Vardy, Kante and Mahrez. I can just see your squad being stripped (granted, for a lot of money) and the kind of players you have worked so well with won't be replaced well. You might finish top half, but I just think you'll suffer a bit with the extra Champion's League games, you've not had to play midweek much this season. I think you're on for the title this season, though.
He won games by himself. If you judge a player on the impact he has on the games and not just a head-to-head FIFA stats comparison then he was without doubt one of our greatest players.
Well he said he was our best ever player. What makes him better than Wagstaff, Chilton, Windass, Dawson, Barmby et al?
Explain the bet to me, what do you pay him should we either stay up next season or fail to win the league?
It was just a bet of chance. I bet him you'd win the league (he for some reason doesn't think you will, he thinks you'll bottle it) and then get relegated the following season. If that happens, he pays me £50. If you fail to win the league, or fail to get relegated, I owe him.
