Think they can get something out of 4 of them, Palace, us, Watford and Everton.
Maybe our best chance is of catching Palace?

Norwich have already beaten us at Old Trafford this season, they can win against us, no problem.

I honestly think it's Palace your sights should be trained on, they're in diabolical form, got a lucky point at the weekend playing against 10 men.

    15 Swansea City 32 -9 37
    16
    Crystal Palace 31 -8 34
    17
    Norwich City 32 -21 31
    18
    Sunderland 31 -19 27
    19
    Newcastle United 31 -27 25

Looking grim. Realistically I can`t see us catching Palace. Norwich are within reach but only just.

Could well be mate, I think if Palace beat Norwich and Newcastle & Sunderland cause upsets this weekend, by winning their games, then it's back on.

The table would look something like this... the downside being Palace are virtually guaranteed safety then and it really is just a scrap for that one place.

Depressing thread, long time coming and one that's been avoided as long as it possibly could. :(

Just out of curiosity Bri (If you`ve got the info handy) when was the last time we were `safe` at this point in a season?

    edit: I mean mathematically guaranteed.

Don't know mate. I would think it would be the two seasons we finished 7th under Reidy. Next highest finish will have been Bruce's 10th place. But we only achieved safety with 3 games to go.

I remember Bruces wonderful achievement was due to everybody else coming unstuck in our favour.

I was thinking Reid but surely it`s not that far back. <doh>

When ever have we not been in a relegation scrap in the Prem apart from those two seasons? Trying to think but can't think of a season
