At the end of the day anyone claiming that coaching a national side has some kind of curse that makes you **** at league football believes in magic, so that means they are mental and are not to be listened to.

As I have said previously, not stoked about Conte's appointment really. Cannot see him having done anything of note, except win some Serie A's with Juventus

But am willing to give him a go and see how it fares.
Shame we couldn't keep Guus on full time to be honest.

So taking a club from seventh to three consecutive record breaking Serie A titles is not impressive?

The midfield he built Pirlo-Marchisio-Pogba-Vidal was amazing

He didn't take "A club" from Seventh to three Serie As. He took Juventus from seventh to three Serie A's.

    Big difference.

Not saying he isn't a good manager, he built a good Serie A side. But just not particularly stoked by him to be honest.
Am past the point of getting excited about our managerial appointments. I get my fingers burnt every time.

They are/were a VERY good side.

Anyway he is obviously a bit of an asperger's psycho. Have a read:

Who would you have preferred instead? (Guus was not interested)

Not really sure to be honest mate.
Not sure there was anyone out there with better creds to be fair.
Like I said, I am past caring. Hopefully we will make some good signings this summer and challenge again

CFC er um. Sven Goran from England to where? Keegan, Hoddle are three examples I can think of straight away. Managing one campaign hardly makes for a qualification of a national team coach.

I am not at all worried about Conte or Chelsea and just to put people right DGC stands for Dawn Ginette Carleson.

Because I didn't know Fergie managed Scotland in one campaign doesn't mean to say I know nothing about football.
McClaren is another unsuccessful coach from national to club.

That's better. Some evidence to back up your sweeping generalisation.

Have you seen the league table this season? Leaders Leicester, managed by ex-Greece coach!

I said not often, I didn't say all did I? I think everybody knows that this is a one off season for Leicester. Also honey your statement that I can't back up what I say was a sweeping generalisation too wasn't it? Just because I didn't doesn't mean to say that I can't. Robson, Revie.

You just seem to be listing England managers now (Conte is a head coach by the way, there is a difference) without thinking.

Post-England, Bobby Robson built a very good side at PSV starring Romario. Then he led Porto to two titles. Did you not like his Barcelona side featuring Ronaldo?

Most of us did, he was voted European Manager of the Year.

And he did a decent job at Newcastle too

The Italian league is not what it once was, clearly. However, Juve were in dire straights and also having to deal with the embarrassment of match fixing scandals (very shameful over there). To take a side floundering in serie A and lead them to three consecutive titles is no mean feat. I can only recall that happening once in the PL and certainly in other less prominent leagues it must happen a lot, but Italy were world champions not so long ago so their league can't be all bad.

Conte seems to be have a divided opinion of him which I think is great. He's not the next big thing (AVB) nor a returning master (Jose), so I'm glad people haven't been able to suss him out yet and hopefully not at all. He's new, he'll bring fresh ideas and hopefully takes us back to playing exciting football again whilst keeping us winning. Forza Chelsea is what I say to that.

This is the way I am looking at it.
I am not particularly overjoyed at his appointment (Like I was when Jose returned)
Nor am I bummed out by his appointment (Like I was when Rafa joined)

    More like a "Meh!" attitude.
I will reserve judgement and see what happens, I am not expecting too much right now.
A title challenge and a top 4 finish would be awesome.
    Anything else a bonus
Anything less a failure, in my eyes.
