... so ... given that Spurs would not hve been expected to challenge for the title this season by anyone, can you just confirm that your current high standing is a complete fluke..
I have already conceded (on another thread) that our position in the league has undoutedly been enhanced by the indifferent seasons of United, Chelsea, City and Arsenal (not 'Pool so much, since we usually finish above them, anyway). I am concerned that Levy will believe the Club's own hype, should we finish 2nd or 3rd, and consider Poch to be a failure if we go back to 5th next season, should Chelsea, City and Arsenal all recover (I think United will struggle, again).
You're trying to tell me that the odds that you would have got at the start of the season on Leicester winning all the games they have won would not have been the kind of odds ordinarily reserved for flukes? FFS! Can we please try to retain at least some kind of rationality when we discuss this topic! Otherwise, there is going to be very little point in any of us engaging in a debate.
... so you being second is a fluke then? ... you've not used the word in reference to Spuds ... so please do so now ... so there is no misunderstanding of your position on flukes .. .
Let's not be too hasty, Fossil. It's probably best that we see how things pan out before any of us go making any brash statements.
You're just desperate to do all you can to avoid giving Leicester any credit at all. It's quite sad as if Spurs won the league most Leicester fans would probably congratulate you (maybe not if you stole it from us at the last second but certainly if you'd be top and we'd been chasing) but I suspect if/when we do win it. We'll just be treated to a new load of bitter hate comments from you...
HIAG cannot cope with the fact that in a season where the big guns have faltered and Spurs have had their best season since the days of steam, they are about to be usurped by lil' ol Leicester
... thank you kind sirs ... for me the 'classic' WUM thread must have an element of substance inherent to really generate reactions ... and this one does ... we are undoubtedly becoming very popular 'off-shore' (unlike David Cameron this morning ) .... the baited hook (a proper fishing analogy, you'll note) was, of course, the title parody .... As a grand finale / encore ...I give you statistical proof that Spurs 'fluking' second spot in the Prem is more than just a one season wonder ....
