It's been a long season and quite frankly I cannot be arsed with footy. I didn't even check the scores every 5 mins like I normally would yesterday. It's a level of indifference to the whole thing which I haven't felt before tbf. Am I alone in looking forward to the Summer break and not really giving much of a ****?
The one ray of hope has been Leicester City topping the table for so long. Champions elect, they won 1-0 again today.
If ever you managed to pick up one of these magic lamps and when you rubbed it the genie gave you one wish, what would it be I have given it a lot of thought and mine would be Turn Comm into a fire hydrant
I can't wait for the inevitable either. It's false hope. We can't win a footy match for **** and it's been the same for a long time. I wish I didn't care but it's hard.
I`m exhausted TBH. In a way I am pleased Norwich put the second to last nail in our coffin on Saturday. Once Southampton pound the final one in at the weekend I will be able to relax for the rest of the season and enjoy Leicester`s amazing title triumph. Though i am not looking forward to next season, I think we may struggle to even make the playoffs. Part of me wants all the lazy ****ers who put us in this ****e to stay and put things right, but the other part of me knows that they are a mostly a bunch of spineless money grabbing whores who will get their arses raked by hungry competitive teams on a weekly basis, so we may need a major overhaul. It seems to me that the teams that come straight back up, generally have a spine of decent players from the previous season still with them. The terms, SPINE, and, DECENT PLAYERS, are not words you would use to describe this bunch of ****s. Therefore we will need a bit of a rebuild, but who wants to come to this basketcase of a club? Darks days ahead methinks..
Leicester have made it interesting but the tedious inevitability of our slide towards relegation has dulled much of any other interest, the fact that it is not even painful just makes it the more tedious.
Football fatigue - NEVER..... Roll on the Euros. Then hopefully, one of those pesky Premier League Clubs will invite us to play them in a Pre-season game for a gentle kickabout. August in the Championship - Come on. Look at every Match as a bonus like I do - You know it makes sense.
In the same boat. have been much more interested in the Aviva Premiership since Christmas. Maybe since Tufty joined thinking about it.
At least i'll be useful for when your Abo boyfreind burns down your shack for drinking his moonshine.
