He sells whenever the whiff of good money is in the air - that's all he thinks about, not the good of the club, not the supporters, just the bottom line.

I fixed that typo for you HIAG.

We're a club in transition too. And we're not a selling club. I bet most ppl still think we'll still win our next trophy before you. Any theories on why that's true?

  7. I anticipated you'd choose those two - too obviously, really.

The problem you have is that, in each case, the player stated that he wanted to leave. With each player he managed to get an extra season out them, but utlimately the lure of Real Madric was far too strong. He couldn't make either player stay, so he did the next best thing, which was to extract as much of the hard, folding stuff from Real as he possibly could. Bale remains the world's most expensive player.

Neither of those two examples count, therefore. Levy declared with each of them that he'd rather have kept the player.

What I don't get is why every player (starting from around super Teddy Sherringham) that was sold by the spuds ALL went on to win trophies while Levy and his cohort lined their pockets and the spuds fans celebrate this?

Here's a thought maybe the players use Spurs knowing full well Levy will be happy to sell them when they want out? That way Levy gets the fans' support? Just a thought...

What the hell else did you imagine he would say, in both cases he had sold the clubs best players - he has to come out with the usual salesman's patter to appease the Harringay faithful

In all honesty if you're a player over the last 20 years, Spurs is probably the best club to play for if you want to break into the prem at a club that wont win any trophies.

So all players who join know this. They also know if they are a hit they can move to a bigger club to win trophies and Levy will oblige. And therein lies the problem for the spuds.

Exactly, look at Alli - bought for £5 mill, a couple of decent campaigns and Levy will offload him for £25m.

Probably not £25m. More like£40m. He drives a hard bargain but he does sell and all the buyers know that.

  13. It's really hurting you lads that Spurs are now the Daddies and lord it over you, isn't it?

It's far more likely that we'll take young Rashford off your hands, than it is you will get a sniff off any of our players.

    That's gotta hurt, right?

Players move clubs for many reasons. A pay cut isn't one of them.

You lot haven't got a chance.

Keep dreaming, though, lads. There's no harm in dreaming.

The fact is HIAG all of your top players eventually angle for a move to a big club as they want to win things and earn more money. That's undeniable. Do you honestly think Kane will piss his career away at Spurs when he could move to a club that challenges for major honours? He's a Gooner!

    Indeed & totally agree
yeahh we are good in defending with 2 DMs covering up .. but we lack players who attack .. with 2DMs that is why we often end up with only 4 upfront .. facing teams who defend that is a nightmare for us as they outnumber us easily and counter us where our pace upfront become useless.. facing strong teams we can exploits them in the counter and we can use our pace better .. this explain why we do better facing stronger sides, I think I read somewhere in a stats, showing how UTD doing better facing top sides than any other team .. our problem is facing sides who come and park the bus .. LVG still use same system and I think he need to opt for more attacking system to push up further up in the table
