Sambuca on a Tuesday night, after a skin full of Carling no doubt. You're an animal mate

I had one large single malt last night and felt guilty for it ffs <laugh>

I agree with Saint. stories have to stand up on thier own which is why many black and white films have very best stories and dialogues.

Me too. Cask strength Ardbeg is THE single malt <ok> You don't find a lot of single malt in the Cheese. More accurately, you don't find ANY single malt there. Not even that tosh Glenfiddich <laugh>

The most popular spirits (other than Sambuca) are as follows:

    1. Vodka

    2. Jack Daniels (mainly because Scots Jimmy does a bottle a day)

    3. Gin

    4. Other assorted shots

I have a vodka and orange once in a blue moon and only have the shots if they're being given out FOC <laugh>

I am not a whisky drinker but my father in law loves the stuff, claims it is why he has reached 83 and is still so active. We buy him a different single malt for xmas, birthday, etc. Bought him a bottle of Penderyn , see below, from the only Welsh whisky distillery at Easter. Initially he was horrified that it was not from north of the border, but having tasted it he declared it one of the best he had tasted. He says he would like to taste Dalmore Constellation, but at £9,250 a bottle he can piss off

me old da has a sip. the doctors said it thins the blood and is ok. I think its heart medicine or something. keeps them going.

    he is 88 this year....

mind you his mother was 99 when she died so... maybe genetics has a part to play more than the whiskey.

I had a great uncle who lived until he was 99. He always boasted he spent most of his money on ***s, booze and women...and just wasted the rest

Yeah you can never tell and science can't say why one guy will get cancer at 39 doing the same. It's all risk and chance but I think diet has a big part these days.

Saturday afternoon, I was in the Cheese pre-match. I was sat with Nick, Chas and Chris. The horrible **** from Oldham was in with his vile Mrs. He's the twat who puts George Formby and Chas ans Dave on the jukie.

I put a quid in and put my 5 tunes on. Chris went on straight after me. When mine, finished, Driftin' Back by Neil Young came on. The Oldham **** hates it (27 minutes long) and Chris knows it. I went out for a *** and Chris shouted on the way out "Did you put this **** on?". ****ing WUM. I came back in and the Oldham twat was preparing to leave. He shoute "Put this **** on again, have you?". I shouted " No I ****ing haven't, got accused again and denied it once more. I missed what he said next, but Chris didn't. He said "If it wasn't you, it was one of your puppets". None of them took very kindly to that and they're all hard.

I left for a break before the match and then went to watch it. While I was, Steph, the Cheese barmaid came in and said "It's all kicked off in there because of that tune". Apparently said Oldham **** returned with his hag wife. Nick eventually followed him into the bogs and dropped him. He was dragged off by Chris. At the same time, Chas was having a proper go at the hag and she was screaming back at him, but he stopped short of laying her out because she's a split-arse.

All that over a tune <laugh>
