Not sure. You are the one that talked about the Mata story from the newspapers. Go back and check to see what page it was on. <ok>

Ask away mate but if you don't think Villa played as a centre forward you're wrong. I'll ask you again to look at his goals and review your quotes:

"Villa plays as a inside forward for Barca. He has never played through the middle for Barcelona."
"No Villa starts out wide from the start of the game, hence he is not a centre forward for Barcelona."
"Pedro is not called a centre forward for a reason, because like Villa he is not one for Barcelona."

I'm sure there are more but I don't really care, your whole argument is flawed. Messi is not a centre forward even though he starts there, because of how he moves around the pitch. Villa is a winger because he starts on the wing, regardless of where he moves in the match. I won't explain this to you again.

And let me get this straight you're not a fan yet you watched every Barcelona game, are you a stalker? Oh and you've missed the point again. Read it again.

Messi is a false 9. Never said anything other than that. Villa never played as a centre forward because you need to play in the centre to be called that. I am a football fan, Barca games are always on Sky, i watch them.

So in your view, SSN8. Can you tell me what position the following play for their clubs: Messi, Villa, Alves, Ronaldo, Rooney and Valdes

    Name calling now? Oh dear.

Wow, ITV 4 had a Barca pre season game, wow. They are always normally on Sky and i watch every game. If they clash with Arsenal games then i just Sky plus it.

    Messi - False 9

    Villa - Inside forward

    Alves - Right back

    Ronaldo - Left winger

Rooney - Second striker or Deep-lying forward

    Valdes - GK.

When the teams line up thats how these players line up.

    What's the difference between a deep-lying forward and a false 9?

You utterly refuse to give a straight answer, don't you?

What part of Villa's play makes him an inside forward and not a winger, like Ronaldo? Is it that he plays as a centre forward alot too?

Well, I'm glad atleast Valdes isn't part of the new made up positions crew, despite playing in a unique team.

I think you're being a bit harsh on the gooner lads.

Describing Messi as a false no9 is pretty accurate. He'll usually start the game as CF (down the middle) and then drop deeper and Villa or Pedro will cut in from the wing (on the sides) and take the position while Messi will then go back to the wing.

For some reason teams get really confused by this.

Barca play a more flat front 3 then Madrid do. They have Benzema/Higuain upfront with Ozil behind them. Ronaldo plays out wide with Di Maria on the other side in that system. False 9 means the player is the pivot of the attack. A deep lying playmaker means you have another forward infront of you. Wayne Rooney and the Little Pea did this for United.

Duff is a deep lying, wide, forward playmaker.

Rooney's played up front on his own and Tevez did it frequently.
Would that make Tevez a false 9 and Silva an inside forward?

Rooney did in the season before but last season he was playing off the main forward. The classic number 10 role in England. Yes Tevez is a false 9 because he drops deep and plays in midfield then links the wide players.

Name me on team the planet where the players don't stray from their starting position. There's only two, they're called red and blue.
