Same here mate. Tired of just scraping over the line. Sometimes I wonder whether it`s better we do go down. Get it over with and put us out of our misery.
Insert slow , thoughtful violin music here . As much as it wouldn't bother me if Sunderland go down I think Sunderland will get their nose ahead of Norwich , with Newcastle just out of the mix. A win against Leicester would spin a nasty turn of the table at both ends .
Every time I watch Gillette Soccer Saturday one of the guys reporting on your home games always seems to mention a 'nervy crowd' or an 'anxious atmosphere', yesterday Charlie Nicholas said something like 'The team are having a go but the crowd aren't helping'. Lack of team spirit causes that, the lack of passion from the players over years and years, causes that. It sort of explains why many of you love Cattermole despite his flaws as a footballer. If you go down, I hope your owner realised this, and instructs Allardyce to build a team, not one that'll win trophies or try to play like Barcelona, just one that cares so the fans can start to care again. Cue every fan saying "I care" now.
I thought our fans were better than usual yesterday. There were still the usual suspects leaving in the 83rd minute. Bunch of ****ers.
I've almost gotten into fights nearly every home game. Usually have to stand for the last 5-10 mins of the game because of these tossers leaving early.
One thing for sure is that our supporters need to behind the team as if it was a derby game...It is crunch time now..
I don't mind people leaving early for a reason (I've had to a couple of times due to my singing) but those who leave early every week just to get "a few minutes ahead of the bad traffic" shouldn't bother! Had n'doye not been 42 yards offside, there'd have been less than 30000 there to see it from a 40000+ attendance. Sad
Stop being negative folks. Just to remind you, here is the Premier League Table 1 year ago: please log in to view this image Leicester went on to not only escape relegation but got 91 points from their next 38 games - and I can't recall them buying anybody at outlandish fees. We managed a couple of results through deflections and stayed where we were. There ain't no Ronaldo's, Messi's or Neymar's coming to The Stadium of Light next season and let us hope that Championship Football doesn't come either. As the Great Muhammad Ali once said "Getting knocked down doesn't take much courage - it's getting back up again and again until you triumph. That takes courage."!
I thought he was miles off as well since it was right in front of me, MOTD replays showed he was only half a yard off!! Fine margins and all that.
Didn't hull get relegated? Who exactly are "we" as Sunderland stayed up above villa? #confusedaboutwhoyousupport
So he wasn't as far offside as lens was onside for the disallowed goal against Bournemouth? Evens itself up they say?
Aye that's what they say. Mind you if we do go down I won't be blaming bad luck or a decision here or there. For me, after 38 games the bottom 3 are the ones who deserve to be where they are and deserve to go down. We've had plenty of opportunities to get ourselves out of it and we're still there.
Hull got relegated. I became a season ticket holder at Sunderland in 1960 when I lived there until migrating to Oz in 1967years. I have supported Sunderland ever since as well as my 'home' team. I have two sons in Hull (and 3 grand children) who not only support Hull City at practically every home game but also are season ticket holders of (wait for it) Manchester United. I found I couldn't change my 'Hull City' signature after i joined these boards so have to use it on this and other boards but will be changing it at the end of the season (to a Sunderland one). I have explained this before a number of times, sorry for the confusion.
