Well you got to take your hat off to the Clubs Owners for backing Sven to the hilt in his quest to assemble a half decent team to challenge for promotion to the Prem and for the amazing coup they have pulled off REGARDLESS of cost in bringing Los Blancos down to the King Power Stadium. It's a friendly that even some of the top Prem teams would love to put on in front of their own supporters. To me the owners have made their intentions clear and Sven is 100% commited the to promotion push, come January if we are in the places for a shot at the Prem I am sure they will break the bank again for the final push. They have well and truly cemented a club/club love affair in which talks will take place a short while after this epic game for Real Madrid to be a feeder club for talent in its youthful ranks and give its upcoming stars vital experience in footballing terms. It is a game surely we have no chance of winning although I would love to see us get something from the game, even a goal perhaps to do the Poznan in L1, in fact the whole stadium should do the Poznan it would be a great spectacle. Real are on fire and I for one will treat them with the respect they deserve for being a truly talented team. I just hope our players dont go hell for leather trying to get something form a game where there is truly nothing on it, surley Sven has briefed them to take it easy as the serious action starts at the chavs the following week and it would be unthinkable for someone to get injured before the season starts. Take it easy on Los Blancos boys, score in the first minute then we can park the bus in front of goal and see the game out Ha! Ha! COME ON LEICESTER THIS IS THE SEASON FOR OUR RETURN TO THE PROMISED LAND!!
Yeah we played Liverpool you know.. remember them? you're not the only ones in the minor leagues with tasty fixtures..
Thanks for reminding me Tiger, good result for you lot aswell 3-0. Still think Real are on a different level to Liverpool and possibly a different planet ability wise. God we are gonna get taught a lesson.
they brought on Adam, Downing & Kuyt to try and sort us out but we just scored again.. RM though, can't argue with that, great for your city.. enjoy!
I hope Nigel does ok with Hull still respect the man but would not swap SGE for any manager. He is the man. Best of Luck Tiger
You want to motivate the lads by saying "take it easy, we have the chavs next week" ??!!??!! If I was manager, my comments would be: "This maybe only a friendly lads, and whatever the result, I want you to learn how they play, because in 2 seasons time, we'll be playing these in the champions league!!" I have to say I was a tad concerned when we were took over by KP, but have been bowled over by how human they are by interacting with the fans as if they were just "fans" themselves. From that alone I think we are onto a new chapter in LCFC life, and not just a false dawn like other unmentionable clubs... The Championship this season is gonna be one of the most competitive we have seen since.......well, last season....and the owners have given us optimism. I don't think any LCFC fan can turn around and be more optimistic for a season to kick off for many years.
Hi, You mention getting loans on Real's young stars. How do you think this will work? If any of you aren't aware, the system in Spain is that the big team's reserve teams play in leagues with smaller clubs. Surely Real would rather that so they can keep an eye on their progress? This will all change if you get promoted though IMO.
Yeah Doni, that **** keeper who was on £75k a week at Roma, I bet they wish they'd got Kasper instead. I think you know that other than Reina, Gerrard, Suárez and Meireles, all of their first team squad played against us, including the four players they just paid £80m for. Only a pre-season, but it was fun all the same.
We've been linked with a couple of their brightest stars from the B team that won't get near the first team. Basically the spanish 2nd division is **** compared with the championship so i reckon we could get some loans for experience
