I thought Jonathan Kodjia was a handful, also he looked a bit podgy but Lee Tomlin had a good game for them.

With Odemwingie, Wilbraham and Kodija, they have a decent attack, arguably better than ours.

    Oh no I don't
It just that some people don't seem to understand the nature of forums and that other people's opinions differ from their own.

He was crap in the Prem though which kind of weakens your argument here

Will you be back here in three years saying we should sign him when he hits 36? He wasn't good enough at the time and was rightly let go

    WTF?
Where did I argue that the 36 year old Aaron Wilbraham should play in the PL in what is probably his final year as professional (19 years as a pro)?
As per the original post, he could have done a job for us this season as he is better in the air, holds it up better and is more physical then anyone we have. Like a poor man's Kevin Davies.

Glenn Murray or Rickie Lambert would have been better suggestions.

Brilliant. So if a player is able to earn a contract at a professional football club, he should be in Hull City's first team.

Guy Branston must feel gutted he missed out.

I'm sorry I thought you mentioned somewhere that he played in the Prem, implying he was a good player

There are plenty of donkeys in the lower leagues that can hold the ball up better than anything we've got, that doesn't mean we should go and sign them. This kind of thinking has killed us throughout our history when we have ended up signing the likes of Dave Bamber, Francis, Ormondroyd and all kinds of desperados

Wilbraham is not good enough for City however I do agree with City Man in so much as he did improve Brizzles attack when he came on yesterday. Gave Curtis a hard time, won most of the headers and held the ball up well.

You. You don't seem to understand this.

Then, you reckon Aaron Wilbraham would've been a good signing for us in a team trying to get promoted back to the Premier League. Presumably you thought Dele Adebola was a master stroke?

Was hoping someone would read the thread.
In his brief time on, he gave Curtis more trouble than anyone I've seen at City since Chris Martin of Derby in terms of winning the aerial battles and holding it up.
We have no one up front with that presence. Instead we knock it up in the air for Hernandez to win against two big central defenders....and no one to knock it down to even if he did win it.

He'd be one to add to my list previously. We've had so many of these donkeys over the years, and I bet a few of them even scored more for us than Wilbraham.

This thread gave me a few laughs anyway. Wilbraham.. he was one of the worst strikers I've seen at City in recent years, to be fair to the fella posting the thread Walters at least did have something about him but not enough to justify keeping him and I also remember reading he had personal problems to do with his family and other things unrelated to that
