As they often are, come off it RonKo is entitled to his opinion the same as we are, he was convinced we were hard done by and I for one agree with him.
I just think it looks pathetic. There are games before where we can feel hard done by, this wasn't one of them. Leicester played extremely well, and the referee did an alright job. At the end of the day, mane should have made sure with his finish. The Huth one was nowhere near a pen ether, he was half a yard away. This is coming from someone who is usually massively critical and biased against referees.
In today's case, the arm didn't stop it going in. His arm was tucked in and was going to hit in the torso anyway.
No, but going by the laws of the game, you cannot even consider the first one to be a penalty. It's not even a debatable one. OK, the second one is debatable but by no means a stonewall penalty. Ron is completely wrong about the first one. There is no other way of putting that.
SorryTom stop defending the refs he got the 2nd one 100% wrong your over protection of the refs is getting silly now.......refs are humans, humans make mistakes, Oliver made a howler today.
Have you seen similar pens given before? ".......................let me answer that for you.......yes on many occasions.
I used to do a bit of refereeing when I stopped playing and I admire your certainty, Tom. The problem with all of this is that isn't as clear as you want us to believe. It's a judgement call. This referee didn't give a bad decision - it's based on what he has seen. But it doesn't follow that he got it right. Another referee's judgement call may have been different, especially with the second one. And the point is, Tom, we've all seen those decisions given.
Which is why I said it was debatable. Sometimes they're given, sometimes they're not. You can't say you were robbed if he doesn't give it though.
Not debatable Tom it was handball and a pen and red card however the 1st is debatable......seen them given seen them not given.
Just got back from the game and have to say we deserved something. Credit to Leicester because they dug in and had Forster not been having a worldie they could have made it look easy. As for the penalties, I've seen replays and I've heard the reaction. From my view the first call was a stonewall pen but can understand how Oliver missed it. Second one looks like a certain pen but I didn't actually know there was a second claim until I got home. Oh well, on to Newcastle. Have to win that one!
