    Premier League
    Saturday, 9 April
    Kick off 15:00
    Venue - The Liberty Stadium

Following their comeback 2-2 draw against Stoke, the Swans next face reigning Champions Chelsea who currently sit 8th in the table, having easily beaten doomed Aston Villa 4-0 in their last match.

The Swans now have 37 points and are on the cusp of PL safety.

In the corresponding match last season, Chelsea ran out 5-0 winners. The visitors led after just 50 seconds thanks to Oscar's 18-yard strike, before Diego Costa scored twice in 15 first-half minutes.

Oscar completed his brace moments later and Andre Schurrle finished the rout in the second half.

Costa will be missing because of suspension.

I'm hoping for a draw, but my head says a 2-0 away win.

    -------------------------------Fab------------------------------

    Naughton----------Ash-------------Fed--------------Kingsley

    Routs------------Cork-----------Fer----------------Monty

    -------------------------Gylfi-------------------------

    --------------------------Palo---------------------

Start with this team and we can rip them open with Barrow coming off the bench around 60 mins to replace Monty/Routs with fresh legs.

Arghhh! The 60 mins thing again. How about reacting to the game rather than the time ?
Montero must start - Ivanovic still ****s his pants thinking about last time.

Routledge doesn't deserve dropping. He's been outstanding. Montero won't be fit enough imo to play 90 mins so it makes sense for him to run them ragged and then bring Barrow on to finish the job. I say around the 60min mark but of course if the change would need to be made sooner then of course it would be made sooner.

It will be interesting to see if Guido will start with Barrow - I think he wil with Monty on the bench

Now that Monty has shown him what we all knew he can do, he has no reason to not pick him. Barrow, Routs and Monty have shown him so I expect two winger starting every game now. Don't think it will happen though.

When will Ayew be back - he will obviously have a big effect on the team that's chosen.

    It's better than Mono. <ok>

If Guidolin is his usual timid self we'll lose. If he gambles a bit we'll get something. Sad to say I'm not convinced he's got the latter mentality and as each game goes by I'm seeing more reluctance to 'go for it' until we're behind. I totally agree with Valley's lineup but doubt it will happen.

1-3 for me. We'll pull one back after Barrow comes on to try and retrieve the game at 70 minutes. If I'm wrong and Guidloin grows a pair then we may actually win this.

Talk about hedging your bets. <laugh>

We should use this game to play without fear and have a go, if we lose we lose but, its certain we'll lose if we play as we did against Norwich and first half against Stoke, so fekk it, lets get out there, run some lines, kick some legs and boot some balls. The squad should be excited about this game as we're doomed to lose according to everyone so the shackles should be off. I say, give them a game and lets go play some football.

Montero to Start, Kingsley to start, Naughton to start for the hapless Rangel. Barrow on bench, Paloschi to start, Emnes bench, Gomis cleaning duties in the away changing room.

I'd also consider Ki for Fer; who seems to be regressing and out of leftfield on the bench, Amat for Leon????

Rangel and Taylor as book ends on the bench with Gomis in the middle .
    "..........................................................Fab

    ......................Fernandez ....................Amat...............................Williams

    .....................................Cork.....................................Britton

    Routledge ............................................................................................................Montero

    ...........................................Ayew.........................,Siggy

    ...........................................................Paloschi
Routledge and Montero generally don't come back much farther than 5 yards our side of center and run their arses off all game .
Cork and Britton generally don't go farther than 5 yards into the opponents side of Center.
Routs, Montero , Siggy , Ayew and Paloschi are pure attack
The rest are pure defend .
All with a bit of flexibility in a pinch .
Very happy to see Taylor ride the bench last game .
Not expecting anything from this game except a lot of experimenting, Chelsea are playing super these days .
    Chelsea 3-Us 1 ....

We are still not mathematically safe so experimenting is a definite no-no. That said, I agree that an attacking lineup should be the order of the day, even though I prefer Valley's. However, I have no faith that Guidolin will do anything other than play conservatively. :(

He should be fighting with Palo to start up front. If he's not playing as a striker, he doesn't start as he creates a huge imbalance in the team.
