I think all future decisions should be taken by twitter poll. We have the technology.

While we're at it, let's run the country that way too.

Spuds fans should be blaming the Ref for not giving us any dubious decisions rather than telling us we lost deliberately!

I think he did possibly get away with a little shove. His arm was out, but it's hard to see how much contact was made. If any was made, it was very minor... but it might just have been enough. Still, can't blame the officials for not calling that one. I've watched the replay a dozen times from all angles and it's still not clear. The best you can say is "Maybe."

We have to look at ourselves on that one. Clasie should never have been on Morgan in the first place.

Gutted to lose, but Spurs bitterness is making me feel a little better.

Here's a view from someone who has not seen a moment of the game:

How many pens have been awarded for handball this season in the Prem?

I've seen only a couple, that I think a player deliberately moved his hand to the ball. One was yesterday by O'Neil at Norwich. Even then, I think it was an unintentional reflex movement of the hand towards the ball, not deliberate. Most the others are the ball hitting the arm/hand somewhere. What is the difference between a reflex unintentional movement and a deliberate one.

So my point is that the law and or the interpretation of the law is shocking. There are not many players who deliberately handle the ball. An arm or hand being in a unnatural position does not mean it's handball. This is a sport where athletes move, twist and turn at all angles, so the referees need to stop hiding behind "deliberate" and have a demonstration at the start of every season, explaining how they are going to interpret deliberate.

If the ball is going into an empty net and a hand or arm stops it going in, then an advantage is taken away from the attacking team. They need to sort it out.

I don't know, man. He would have had to have lightning quick reflexes and crazy presence of mind to be able to react in just that split second to intentionally pull his arm slightly back to make contact with the ball and yet move it in a subtle enough manner to make it look "natural." And if he had that kind of mental game, why wouldn't he just try to move his arm out of the way instead considering the ball would have hit him anyway?

At least having got a yellow he stayed disciplined for the rest of the game, there were a few tempters but he didn't commit.

I'm not having it. It's bitterness from Ron.

They were never penalties. If They had been given against saints I would have been annoyed.
