Based on the last ten years we should be getting the biggest gates in Yorkshire, above all full of youngsters who've been lucky enough to witness 3 promotions, 4 seasons in the PL, 3 trips to Wembley and the Europa League. But the club has frittered away all that goodwill and custom. Hudgell and Pearson can't believe their good fortune.
Sheffield Utd aren't according to our fans. Neither are a lot of others who still manage to get bigger crowds than us despite a number of them having smaller populations.
Season pass holders got given free tickets. You dont seriously think they could have jumped up that far otherwise do uou. PS i aint got a ****ing clue how to do links
They gave free tickets to anyone who bought a season pass for next season, it doubled their attendance and set a new record attendance.
The problem with our attendances this season, all stems from the season tickets being set way way too high to start with. This means individual match tickets are also too high, as these need to "be more expensive" than the comparable season ticket price pro rata. Coupled with the whole closed "ticket office" saga, makes it both a) too expensive and b) too much hassle for anyone wanting to go to a game at short notice.
utter chaos in the 'ticket office ' yesterday - fans had to queue to use a phone to answer any queries - credit cards refunded over the phone, and the person on the phone was sat a couple of yards away at the other side of the wall that has been erected so no-one can see who you're speaking to - everyone in there was saying they wont be coming next season because of the mess caused by refusing to deal with people face to face and the utter nonsense of answering queries over the phone 15 minutes before kick off - must be the only ground in the country without a ticket office - yesterdays crowd seemed even lower than usual - anyone know how many turned up
It reminded me of a city centre taxi rank. People queuing for the phone on wall to order a taxi. Seemed like disorganised chaos to me.
Utter chaos??? Hmm how many let's put a number on it. Twenty tops. Expect. It's not like it's common knowledge to get tickets online early is it
You're on holiday, you wanted to be a star yesterday because you didn't have the time to Google scores, pathetically getting folk to write you updates, yet you can find the time to write this nonsense about something you never saw - as you say, 'you wasn't there, was you'; you never even saw it on the telly, did you - the queues, not the game?
Only Chazz can comments on events at games he wasn't at. If he is there then he tells people who weren't that they are not entitled to an opinion.
Of course I wouldn't dare to cast doubt on the marketing skills of our owners or tell them how to run their business, but I would have thought that with a stadium a third empty at the time of what is still one of our best ever seasons, that making it as easy as possible for people to get a ticket and gain entry would be a priority.
