Nope. Red card was warranted.

Studs showing, off the floor. By the laws of the game, Clattenburg was right in sending Kouyate off.
Ant and Dec don't claim to be comedians...they are presenters and are good at it because people like them. I don't watch the programme, but have seen them enough to see why they are popular.
Archers - I assume you thought Kouyate's challenge wasn't a red card. It was.

No, Tom, I was joking. I assume you agree it's okay to laugh at refs? I feel this is especially true of Clattenburg, who may be right but is still, in many ways, just wrong.

I'm not sure what you mean by your last statement.

Only just caught up with yesterdays highlights and agree it was a red although not all refs would maybe have given it.

What has made me angry from that incident is not kouyates reaction who accepted his punishment but the reaction of Mark noble who threw his toys and surrounded clattenburg mouthing off because one of his team mates had been shown a red.

Wait a minute, isn't this the same mark noble that two months ago at st Mary's also got in clattenburgs face and seemed instrumental in getting the ref to change a yellow into a red to get wanyama sent off.

Noble, you are an annoying little prick and a nasty stain on the premier league.

Yeah Noble is a cockstain. I was watching Final Score yesterday and Crooks and Dublin were berating Clattenburg for sending him of saying he changed the game etc. But surely they could see his foot was clearly off the floor when he dived in? That is out of control and endangering a player's safety therefore red.

And anyway, the ref should only consider the act and not the effect on the game.

I'm sorry chaps, gonna have to disagree. That's a yellow at worst. It wasn't studs up, one foot didn't leave the floor. It was a strong tackle, I wouldn't even have booked him. Clattenburg got it horrendously wrong for me

I think someone listened to Ron, Madley has given the most penalties in the PL this season! <laugh>
