Not much else Bellusci could've done, looks like he was last man, and it wasn't a penalty. Seems to me the Rotherham player hit it a bit too hard and he knew it, it was a dive. If you watch the vid closely, it certainly looks like the player was diving before Silvestri even touched him with his hand, if I was Evans, I'd be appealing quickly.
Well to be fair Bucks asked the question did anyone hear a rumour that Paul Hart was being replaced by J.C
Have played this through a few times and, Yes, it was a penalty. The keeper's left hand contacts the striker's right foot, that's what brought him down. You can see his right foot doesn't progress after the touch. It was enough to throw him off balance and finish the job. Sorry, guys, but that's the way I see it.
Like LL said, he was on his way down looking for the penalty look at it frame by frame, he conned the ref, end of chat
Hey'up LoB, If you haven't already, watch it on full screen, then watch the player lunging forward before Silvestri's hand comes round, I'm not so sure Silvestri's hand made contact even after the dive either.
Penalty or not, we were failing to beat a team already down to 10 men, 1 point or zero points, it hardly matters.
I really can't see how that wasn't a penalty. Keeper made contact, whether the striker was looking for it or not. I don't really blame Silvestri too much for it, he was thrown under the bus a bit there. Bellusci, on the other hand. That was comical defending, wouldn't see that sort of defending at u12s. Could not agree more with what Whelan said.
