    I have watched snippets of A&D stuff and it absolutely staggers me how they have any following at all. When Lincoln said the line you can fool some of the people all of the time from his famous speech he was predicting the rise of Ant & Dec.

    If I had to suffer A&D I'd get rid of the only TV entirely on the basis that it's healthy. Not only are you more active but you don't suffer your brain trying to escape you head by dribbling out of your ears. ;)

    They are silly and fun for the kids and family. What's not to like. They don't take themselves seriously and just mess around.

    I believe they call it "light" entertainment.

    In that case save me from light entertainment. There was a chap who died the other day who was part of an excellent light entertainment team. Ronnie Corbett of the Two Ronnies. When A&D reach a 10th of their talent then I might just start to give them the benefit of the doubt.

    Ant and Dec don't claim to be comedians...they are presenters and are good at it because people like them. I don't watch the programme, but have seen them enough to see why they are popular.

    I think A&D started out as comedians, but nobody found them funny. Nevertheless, they must be laughing all the way to the bank. ;)
