Another nail in the already bloated putrid coffin So relieved I don't feel the need to go anymore Absolutely ****ing tiresome bollocks It used to be an escape from all that ****
No concessions for kids is probably the worst aspect of the whole thing for me , pure short term thinking with no consideration for where our future fans will come from
It seems like it was based on the assumption we'll be a premier league team next year. The TV money would cover any short fall in attendances so there would be no problem charging kids the same as adults.
They don't care because they won't be here, they are selling the club. In 24 hours, soon, before next season, when they find a suitable buyer
& the escapism for the kids of our future will be 'on-line' & that truly will be the sadness of all this ...
I think online is already the answer for many. It will be a real problem in the future. I know its becoming a real concern in America
I have to put my hands up, to a degree. When this happened to you and others I was not so much dismissive, but I was not overly supportive. We were regular opponents on here and it was more of an issue of Trust (CTID ?) involvement than the actual personal affects of the changes. I am, and always have been, a very erratic attendee to sports events; I have never needed to develop a season ticket lifestyle and the social nuances have never sunk in with me. They have now. I see it, I understand now, this last couple of posts with Tincity have brought me to it differently. I now understand the other view more fully and I totally accept it; apologies it has taken so long, but it is a difference of lifestyle and acceptance of how we enjoy our football experience. We will have to see what happens, but I think the idea of a Family Stand should be unnecessary if it is so disruptive. One thing I do know is, I am now trying to look at this from an angle I didn't fully understand previously. Bear with me, I'll get there, maybe the club will too.
Gate receipts will be a comparatively minute fraction of the total revenue if/when we go up. Why antagonise so many people needlessly for such a small gain? How come Adam Pearson virtually on his own could fill the stadium against dross teams in Lg 2 and Lg 1? Why haven't we built on that very solid base of support of 10 years ago rather than chip away at it, vilify it and ultimately split it? The ****ed-up ****s who hatched this sorry ****house of a scheme should learn to walk before they can run, and address why they can't fill it NOW rather than worry about next season.
Despite no football for two weeks we managed a crowd of only 16 1/2 thousand today, 12k less than Cardiff and 13k less than Brighton - these changes to the membership scheme had better be good if we don't get promoted this time round!
I can't help but think that if the Allams have any input into these new ideas, the bigger the **** up it will be.
Heard a rumour today that away fans will be allocated a section of west stand upper (closest to North stand) with current season ticket holders accommodated into remaining space. If we get promoted this will not happen as available seats in west stand upper expected to be populated with new season ticket holders/members/tourists.
