Thanks for that Jamie, missed who scored the second. It was a fuzzy picture but I heard it was Moore who got the third. Tidy run out, no real opposition. Keeper looked OK wanted to get the game flowing. Pitch was poor!!!
Moore scored the 3rd. Header from a Craig Beattie cross. Thanks for the link, not a bad run out. I think the set up was fairly defensive so not that many real chances. Sincs seems to be brushing off some rust and coming good, Dyer looking sharp and was good to see Moore (I think) make the most of what looked like a pretty wild cross from Beattie. All in all, very much a pre-season game but some people looking very good. (P.S. Caulker looked good. Ash struck a couple of cross field passes with his usual accuracy. Quality)
I had some lag aswell, only managed to get the first goal! Nice little treat which I didn't think was going to happen when kick off was delayed!
I thought the first half was us taking it easy, we started stepping it up at around 30 mins and hit the top and underneath of the crossbar before half time (Graham both times?). Ash and Caulker looked very comfortable playing together. As the game wore on past half time, we took complete control, scored two goals and looked to be running away with it. Then we changed pretty much our entire team after 60 mins and it did effect our play. Our right back (who was it??) seemed intent on hoofing it, and our defensive midfielder (who was it??) couldn't keep composure when put under pressure by their forward players. We seemed a little rushed and lost shape, but slowly got it back together by the end after conceding but then scoring. All in all, a good run out! Our first* team would have gone on the win that game by 4 or 5 goals. Our second* team could probably have done similar if started from kick off, but it's not fair to judge a side that has to feel their way into a game where the opponents have been playing competitively for 60 minutes already! When they swap around in the next friendly, we'll get a better idea. * - First and Second illustrate the chronological order of the teams being on the pitch, I have no doubt that we aren't witnessing our literal 'first' and 'second' teams yet. But the names in the 'first' team appear to be close to our best!
Aside from maybe 2/3 changes I can imagine the first team tonight is near enough our starting 11... GK - Moreira RB - Rangel LB - Tate CB - Caulker CB - Williams CM - Allen CM - Kemy CM - Britton RW - Dyer LW - Sinclair ST - Graham Possible changes being Taylor in for Tate, and Dobbie in for Kemy depending on the game that is possibly our strongest starting line up...
The best way to describe it would be like a finesse shot on FIFA. Left side of the goal, got just ahead of the ball and curled it to Moreiras left with his right foot. Good finish in fairness. In reality the ball shouldn't have got to that position, and I know it's impossible to say but Dorus was a known shot stopper. I would have fancied him to save it...
All I'd like to know is did Bodde play, and how did he look bigkidderz??..................... please log in to view this image
Bodde didn't play from what I saw Phill! But you'll be pleased to know that Kemy looked very assured in the midfield, and really brought a good physical presence while maintaining our footballing ethic! He and Bodde will be competing for the same spot in the team once Ferrie is fit for sure. Not sure if Bodde will get game time on this trip, but the double training sessions they'll be doing will definitely continue the development and rehabilitation of his knee!
Cheers bigkidderz, sounds good to have the both options, I like Kemy, he has a lot of potential, let's hope we get Ferrie back to full strength though, best CM player I've seen in a Swans shirt, since I've been watching the Swans, and that's going back some time!......... please log in to view this image
i only caught the last 15 mins before half time, and i must say it was dreadful, baku looked a lot sharper than us in midfield.
