I kept telling my daughter that her indoors was about to cry, the bit where Spot leaves Arlo. I was told to 'stop being a dick' by Mrs C and even Junior told me to shut up. The subterfuge worked, a distraction tactic to avoid any suspicioun that I was in emotional turmoil at the harrowing scenes unfolding in front of me. Not since The Champ have I been so touched by a film. Heartbreaking stuff.
The trilogy takes place over about 5-6 years. So it fits perfectly fine. The accident is pretty much why Empire Strikes Back started with him being attacked. A lot of those scars weren't makeup, they were real.
Day 88, film 88, "due date" Robert Downey jr and Zac galifianakis. Seen it before but cannot get The ****ing iPad off this bitch that resides With me... So it's 5+24... Actually I like this film anyway...

Just seen the film I'm watching tomorrow on sky , the hurricane, denzel Washington. Love the film, one of my top ten songs to boot....
Watched Batman v Superman! In 3D & IMAX! Big disappointment for me. All over the place with the story. Also there is no extra bit at the end & I sat through the credits because they didn't turn the lights up as normal when the movie finishes.
The writing and narrative absolutely messed the film up big time, among other things. Here was my review if you missed it:
Yeah I missed it, but I'm going to give anything involving Snyder a miss from now on I think! Unless I forget when Justice League comes out & rush to see it! I've been really disappointed with Superman since Christopher Reeve in the best Superman ever Superman 2! Although I did like Smallville, so it's just been these recent movies with Superman that's pissed me off!
I finally managed to see it last night and I think that's a fair assessment of the film if you're a comic book fan and have expectations of the plot/characters. As someone who has never read the comics, barely watched the cartoons and seen a few but not all of the films I really enjoyed it. There was no expectation for me, I took it on face value and thought it worked well. For example I thought Eisenberg was a highlight, yet those in the know seem to disagree saying he wasn't how Lex should be. Same with Batman killing people, fans of the comics have a real problem with that but for me it didn't matter at all (although he has killed in numerous other films which people have chosen to ignore). Overall I'd say peoples expectations are ruining this film for them, I get that if you're attached to something you have your own opinions on how things should be done and it often jars with people if the end product doesn't fit these expectations. But I'd rather see directors take risks and put their own interpretation on these stories rather than churn out dull, stale movies that pander to their audience.
Going to try and stream the Phantom Menace today, touch and go with my KCOm sponsored ****ernet. I'm sure I will enjoy it a lot more this time
I did enjoy it this time but I think the reason I didn't the first time was it seemed a bit Disney with the child actor and Jar Jar Binks, managed to get over that this time!
That was pre-Disney as well! But yeah if you take those two out it does improve it a lot, however if you watch them altogether, it really does build to be a great six movies!
