Or some such hysteria from the Sun. Woodward is keeping tabs on Poch at Spurs as a possible alternative to Maureen http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...Jose-Mourinho-enquiries-from-Ed-Woodward.html That said - I do think he would make an excellent manager for us. He has his teams play exciting attacking football, he prioritises youth and I think he is the most likely to give us more than just a few years of service.
I cant see him coming, would take him over Jose, but, not going to happen, he is on to a good thing with the Spuds, so why move
I don't like their version as it implies we will have to put up with LvG for next season before we can land Pochettino. The up side is that we would seriously improve our chances of landing the likes of Rose, Kane and Ali if he did take the job.
Not sure why we'd want Rose, Shaw is considerably the better player. As for the other two, possibly but I can't see it making a massive difference. The truth with Ali is we should have spotted him ourselves. We even played, and lost to, MK Dons and still didn't see it.
I don't quite get why anyone doubts Shaw. I think it's been obvious since he made his Saints debut that he is going to be superb.
A bad injury like Shaw has suffered always has consequences long term. A full recovery is never possible - mentally at least, and that is why I believe (sadly) that Shaw will not be the same player and it is foolish to imagine otherwise. It's different as a striker returning from serious injury, they can pull out of or leap a tackle and it not be too important - not so Shaw who will be expected to make crunching tackles from the minute he starts first-team training. Any hesitancy on his part could be costly, the loss of half a yard could be costly and Shaw will be constantly wary of another injury - with every reason.
