Interesting set of priorities at Suderland - A player doesn't pay their agent, their contract is terminated immediately - A player is arrested for child sex offences and said he was guilty to the club, they terminate his contract eight months later
I'd say the former is more a hasty reaction in light of the backlash they suffered due to the latter.
Eboue can also get the ban lifted by simply paying the bloke. He must've been bloody awful in training, which makes you wonder why they signed him. Good news for us and Yedlin, though.
Burnley made a profit of £30.1M last season, not including compensation money for Ings. That's pretty amazing. They look strong favourites for promotion and with the considerable extra revenue they'll get in the PL, they are well placed to do what Watford and Bournemouth have done - strengthen and aim for mid table.
Change one result from last season from a loss to a win and they'd have stayed up, though. How much more would that have been worth? Lots of 0-0s and 1-0 losses. A goalscorer could have kept them up.
I assume that the bulk of that sum is the lucrative 'parachute payments' relegated clubs now receive. I read recently that as of next year, the club who finishes bottom of the PL will earn around £100m just from TV money! With this in mind, it is possibly the worst season to go down as to be quite honest, beyond next season, I cannot fathom how a team who has simply existed in the PL for a year won't bounce back almost immediately with that kind of money. It's a shame really, because the Championship has become a much more open competition over the past few years, but with that kind of money - a relegated club literally blows everyone else out of the water.
It's not a coincidence that you used an ABBA song when talking about Brighton, is it? Good luck to Chris Hughton, though. Having a surprisingly good season in a very tough league.
Bloody hell. What have I started? Let's hope that he doesn't try to bring in a proven Premier League striker if they do gain promotion. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image There was something in your hair that night, your shots were ****e, Fernando please log in to view this image
We've been talking since the days of the old BBC 606 PNP, so I guess it's a case of knowing me knowing you.
