Leroy has proved he can play at the top level and he will score goals so if he can accept our wage structure then i will be glad he has joined, i would be happy if we could get emms also, even though he would not score as many goals as Leroy but he is a good strong assist player to have onboard....its all down to wages at the end of the day...

...I agree with you again Dai!

Lita is a solid forward who can make runs, link play, and turn and shoot with both feet. Would it be unfair to compare him to a more lightweight Jason Scotland-esque striker? If his attitude is positive, and I don't see why it wouldn't be (he knows about the Swans, he's seen us in the league a few times probably and we're taking on the Premiership by trying to play football), then I think it could be a good signing.

Maybe it's because of the big doobie I just smoked, but I'm feeling a lot more positive about this possibility now. Did anyone see the interview with Mowbray about it? He said something like "he's going to have a look and see what they have to say, he's not definitely going by any means", which sounded a bit hopeful to me to be honest. He'll get a chance to make a name for himself in the Premiership if he applies himself, and it's not as if Middlesborough were tipped to storm the Championship this season!

Well I'm not fussed on Lita coming, think he could well upset our dressing room, but there you go, Rodgers must feel confident in handling this high maintenance baby!.................

dont talk daft dragon...why would he upset the dressing room, thats a stupid comment to make about a player you know nothing about.. we do know he scores goals at top level and we know that buck rates him and thats good enough...dressing room is a non issue...

Cheers aber, seems he may well be following in the footsteps of Dai then! Talking of the devil, Dai I'm not talking daft at all, he's a problem child like you, who could well upset other players in our squad, now stick to what you know HJ!..................

PS: Dai you need to get your facts right, it's common knowledge that Lita is a bit of a troublemaker, Very arrogant and causes problems in the dressing room, ours will not be the first he'll upset, but I'm hoping his personal terms will upset Huw!...................

I'm not entirely decided on the whole thing myself, but to suggest upsetting the dressing room is a "non-issue" is a bit silly. Having players who actually want to play with each other and for each other has been a a major benefit to the Swans squad.

"Lita is no stranger to controversy. A year ago he was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a fracas in a Bristol nightclub, though the complaint was subsequently withdrawn. In April, he was suspended for allegedly butting Charlton's Talal El Karkouri, a charge he has always denied." - Telegraph

    This ones for you Dai!

"its got to the point where Sir Coppell would rather field academy players than recall Lita, so surely he is not a good influence to have around the team? Im just giving you my opinion, as a supporter who has watched Lita's antics for the past few years, and quite frankly (and i think i speak for a numbe of reading fans) i am sick to death of the bloke."..."he is a disruptive player that will ruin your dresing room." - madejskiloyal - BBC 606

We should have gone for emnes IMO , I don't like lita as I have mentioned the guy is trouble, the number of clubs and the fact that supporters from each of these clubs have said the same makes me question Brendan on this transfer

Yes agree Jager! Rodgers though must feel confident he can handle the boy, but he does come with some off field distractions!...............

So one guy on 606 and some tabloid sensationalism means he's going to be cack for us?

Personally, if I was Leroy Lita I'd be curious what the fans think of me. If I came on here and saw this kind of ****, then there's no way I'd join now considering some of the things that've been said! He's no Joey Barton, give the guy a chance.

Scottswan this is a discussion forum where people give their opinions, lita has got a widely reported track record , who's fault is that but his ? Really if he just let his football do the talking he probably would be playing for an established premier league club !

But if he doesn't come to us I won't be to unhappy, sorry if you think that's crap, but I am entitled to my thoughts the same as you or anyone else on here!

Of course man! It just bugs me when circumstantial stuff is brought up as it if it is proof he'll go rape someones nan or something.

The guy has an attitude problem, by all accounts, but I'm a firm believer that everyone deserves a second chance. I'm not over the moon at the prospect of him signing, but I'm willing to give him a chance if Buck is, that's all.

Wish City Arse would stop hijacking Swans threads. Very annoying. But if you want to think I'm Aussie that's fine. Whatever. Seem to remember that he said he wasn't joining this particular party ages ago but I may be wrong. Now if you were to suggest Who Ate All The Pies .........

scottswan your dead right, he is a proven class player who will give us pace up front and will score goals, Brendan totally disagrees with dragon and jager and rates him highly, who would you listen to....a nonentity like me ,dragon or jager or a profecional manager like Brendon and boro manager....no contest really....argument over...

Dai it's not an argument it's a discussion, and we are allowed to discuss lita even if he reads this, and let's face it a manager can be wrong as well, look at Sousa sending dobbie to blackpool , in that you were right on that and he wasn't !

The only one we've managed to do that with is Dyer. All the others with bad reps when they came here (Leon Knight, Cotterill, etc.) have pretty much failed

Scotty try being objective will you, it's not just one supporter, or some sleazy journo, it's the Telegraph for goodness sake! And by the way there was an on-line pole done on one Reading forum, and only 18% wanted him back, 37% didn't want him back under any circumstances, and 45% wanted him back, but on the bench only! these are supporters that had to put up with him week in week out, and as Jager said, who's fault is it that some Jacks are not keen on him coming! If I had my way he would not come here, he gave Steve Coppell a continued problem, and a nicer guy you could not find in Steve. By the way Scotty dear I couldn't care a monkey's uncle what Lita thought if he read this, and I hope he does, because I don't want the problem child here, and I'm putting it mildly!.............
