"We spend nothing really, one of the most proudest things I like about my club ." Spurs spend nothing really compared to our much wealthier rivals, yet are consistently out-punching one or more of them. One of the many good things I like about my club.
Liverpool made all there history in 20 years in the top flight , same as Manchester United . The one thing I respect about Arsenal is there balanced history since the beginning of football over a hundred years ago .
Wow, looks like you are a selling club , blows this thread out of the water , well thanks for Siggy for one of our academy players anyways .
But the empires have the far greater trophy hauls. It will take 50 years of "balanced history" for Arsenal to match the two decades of those empires (assuming those empires do not rise again in the meantime) .
Any club that sells players is a "selling club" . Unless of course your players are so worthless they have to be let go for free.
All clubs are selling clubs. The OP claimed that Leicester weren't on another thread. I asked him for an example of them turning down a bid for a major player of theirs from a big club and didn't get a single answer. Siggurdson has done very well for you and I we've been pretty happy with Davies and Vorm. Seems fair, to me. The Icelander's very good player, but he was kept out of our side by Eriksen, which is pretty understandable. It's a shame that some of those around him haven't reached his standard. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Swansea in the Premier League until this season. That shareholder's got a lot to answer for...
... you have to laugh at the pseudo arrogance of a few of the spuds ... as a couple of non-Leicester fans have mentioned ... we have a billionaire owner committed to making the club a force in the Premier League ... and he's going to achieve that by paying peanuts and selling off the prize assets to the first bidder?? ... the problem for HIAG and Rupert (in particular) is having suffered severe butt hurt year after year from Del Boy Levy selling off their best players ..ergo they hope that any aspiring team will have to do the same ... Esteban Cambiasso spent a season with us because the owners paid top dollar for his services ... I am quietly confident that only the very biggest of clubs could offer wages that we wouldn't be prepared to match .... and that certainly doesn't include the spuds under Del Boy they have just as much to fear from player poaching as us ... perhaps more given Del Boy ....
... to be accurate I said under our current ownership .... and we haven't sold a single player that we wanted to keep during their tenure ... so you can wait all day for an example .... until we do
Lots of claims and nothing to back it, so far. Who doesn't have a billionaire owner in the Premier League? Some clubs have two.
... yes but we don't all have a guy holding the purse strings that tries to get the likes of Berahino on HP! ..... LMFAO
As I said, they have not had any vaguely decent players in recent times worth poaching until this season. So why did you expect an answer when transfermarkt has the truth ??
No. There was supposed to be a CAS hearing last month, but I've heard nothing since. Whole thing's a bit odd. Who have you turned down bids for? It's like saying that you've never accepted a sexual offer from a Hollywood actress. Not particularly relevant if there's never been one.
... see post above ... no players in the manager's plans sold by current owners .... it's a simple concept ffs
And, as I've asked many, many times, who has put in a substantial bid for any of those players? Not selling them isn't an issue if nobody's offered to buy them, is it?
The thing is that after the court case was over , the verdict was supposed to have been announced within a month .....that was two months ago , I got a feeling it cost us money toward Vorm's previous Dutch club and a bit more to keep it quiet by our bumbling chairman
1) ... who knows ... our owners are private people when it comes to business ... but it remains a fact that we have not sold any player's that we wanted to keep ... so you'll just have to watch the space ... and no press reports about us trying to do transfers in monthly instalments etc 2) I didn't turn either of them down ... but I'm saying no more ...
It might be some sort of ongoing negotiation, which would make sense. Valuing him at £0 looked very dodgy. I think that other clubs have been sued over similar things and had varied outcomes. Probably not worth the hassle, though.
